I couldn't agree more with Maalpaani. Did you say you were going for your graduate degree? You better take some ESL classes before you graduate.

As far as accounting jobs go, you could go into auditing or just look for a position that suits your qualifications in the industry. For auditing, you have the Big 4 and then other smaller public accounting firms.

Good luck.

ps ji,

seems u have got almost everything needed for a good start.

and i appreciate your intent to do something better.

try to find something on your own thro job search sites , as u dont need sponsorhip,

u might end up getting a job which might fecth u higher than what u get now and more

satisfaction.

another option may be go for an Indian consulting firm, seek BA training and they will help

u for the placement, not a bad option either.

good luck,

and malpaani ji , we shouldnot forget that nepali is our mother tongue. It would have been nice

if you would have shared sth useful for him, rather than insulting him. You are no way different

when u dont get what the intention of the thread was. Just a good command of english wont guarantee

that u can laugh at someone who doesnot have it. I guess Nepalis get far more pleasure in mocking

the fellow nepalis, wish they could aim higher

peace !!!!!!!!

Chyantu Ji

Thank you so much for wonderful advice. I really appreciate for your good intention to give such good advice.

I was kind a depressed with (Gaf.dya.hoina) comment. But You made me happy to-day thank you so much.

I agree with him that I have to improve my writing skill. But the way he commented was not really appropriate. You cannot just humiliate other just because his writing skill is not good.

Now imagine (Mr. Gaf dya.hoina) yourself if you are humiliating the person who is unknown to you than what you do with the person that you deal on your day to-day life. Just stop humiliating other. If you have any good advice just give it in proper way. If you think that I am wrong than carry on, I am sorry

ps,

I think you misunderstood me. I was advising you to take up ESL classes, not trying to humiliate you.

Furthermore, I was also trying to tell you about the different types of accounting-related jobs that you could take up as an accounting major.

I don't know how I offended you, but I definitely did not mean to do so.

I wish you good luck in your future endeavors.

PS ji,

Try Craigslist.org its the best one to start. Try local news paper in your area and start distributing your resume to all the opening via every means possible (mail, email, fax...........). Start researching about the accounting tools, techniques and softwares most popular in US. Like Quickbook.....

Don't get offended when someone comments about your English. I have horrible English too more funny thing is that  people say right to my face, "Your English Sucks" but I don't mind. You don't have to be perfect but seek help to increase your skills just to be more competitive. Just B +ive and listen to Bajans specially Shiva's one.

Jai Saambhoooooooooo

P.S:   You deserve more than $8 an hour so demand your boss for more. If not show him the middle finger just kidding (pheri sachai garla ra barbad).

I have seen people with horrible English having really really good job.English is not the only one factor.By the way you may just need to brush up your writing skill.

I have also seen people who speak fluent English  like native speaker  but cannot write a simple sentence.

So relax and try for the jobs you think you can do.Good Luck
