We r in the eve of one more semester and like always we got project,paper,unknown dues. I m working on my bacterial unknown for my micro-bio class.I think I figured out the unknowns but not quite sure.So,I tried to do the confirmatory test for each of those bacterias I got.I did research on the internet but all I could find was ELISA test,cytometry test,DNA sequencing test.These tests are too much complex which requires sophisticated equipments which I don't have access to.So,I would appreciate if sb looks at mah result and suggest me a confirmatory test.
MY RESULT:
Streptococcus salivarius
Gram stain test: +ve Strept. Cocci
Catalase test: -ve No bubbles formed when hydrogen peroxide was added.
Gas from glucose/dextrose: +ve (in this test we inoculated bacteria in a test tube containing minitube which had air on top but after few days the color of the solution was changed to yellow and the airlayer was displaced. )
Growth on EMB agar (acid from mannitol test): -ve
Bacillus cereus:
Gram test: +ve bacilli
Catalase test: +ve
Endospore test: +ve
Growth on EMB agar: -ve
Lactobacillus fermentum
Gram stain test: +ve bacilli
Catalase test: -ve
Gas from glucose/dextrose test: +ve
