Probably the biggest event of its kind featuring the biggest name in music to have ever enthralled fans so far in the history of Nepal, Bryan Adams is scheduled to perform at the Dashrath Stadium on the first week of May for “Celebration Of Peace Concert”.

According to the organizers, Green Productions Pvt. Ltd. in association with World Space Radio, Bryan Adams is scheduled to arrive at the capital on 2nd May along with his 35 crew members on his private jet. Though minor logistics still need to be worked on, Naresh Dev Pant, one of the directors at Green Productions has confirmed that the legendary musician has already signed on the dotted lines. Refusing to divulge the actual finances involved in getting a star of such stature into the country, Mr. Pant just says, “too much” when enquired. But he states that music systems; 60,000 watts, will be flown in from Mumbai and laser lights all the way from Shanghai, arrangements for which have already been made. He further elaborates that everything has already been worked on including the recruiting of 2000 volunteers for security and other purposes.

Tickets shall be priced at Rs.1000 and 2,000 only and about 40,000 people are expected to attend. About 150 people from India are said to have already booked their tickets along with hotel reservations and other details and many more are expected to join in the band wagon. In what is conceived to be the first event of this magnitude, the organizers are confident of pulling this off in spite of the various technical and logistical difficulties. Promising to provide us with more information about “Celebration Of Peace Concert” at a later date, Mr. Pant assured us that this is one event that All Nepali music lovers will remember for a long long time. Anxiously waiting for Bryan Adams and heres wishing the organizers all the best.
