" God Buddha belong to Tharu Tribe people "

Born as Prince Siddhartha in the kingdom of Kapilavastu in southern Nepal, the Buddha is one of Nepal's most cherished national icons. While Buddhists all over the world make pilgrimages to Nepal to visit its Buddhist shrines, the Tharu community, now predominantly found in the midwestern districts, live a life of abject misery, dogged by poverty, illiteracy and lack of land.

Singh, himself a Tharu, says the Buddha as well as one of his greatest followers and rulers of ancient India, Emperor Asoka, came from the Tharu community.

"The word Tharu comes from Sthabir in Sanskrit, meaning monk or the Buddha," Singh says. "The Tharus are therefore the Buddha's people." The book quotes Indian scholar Gauri Shankar Dwivedi, who says after the Buddha attained enlightenment, he returned to his homeland when people flocked to him to become monks.

But to ensure that society would not collapse, some were told to stay back and became known as Tharus. A succession of invasions by the Rajput kings, who were Hindus, eroded the influence of the Tharus, Singh says.

Interesting.

The article would have been more credible if the author was not a Tharu himself.

Nitu

Gutam Buddha was not a god. He never declared himself a god.

right, Lord Buddha, not the God Buddha.

a human being can/could at most claim to be the incarnation of God (believed mostly in Hindu religion such as Lord Krishna, Lord Rama; and claimed by asshole Gyane himself and Shah Dynasty so that people would become just spectator on whatever he does: cutting off telephone, internet, spending millions of rupees in African Safari, and selling out historic idols from temples, etc). Buddha actually opposed all sorts of praying to God/ and worshipping idols.

FOR EVERYONES INFORMATION:
THARU IS THE HYBRID OF MUSLIMS AND THE RAJPUT THAKURS OF RAJASTHAN.
QUESTION IS...
MUGHAL EMPERORS RAPED THE WIVES OF RAJPUT THAKURS OF INDIA AND THE KIDS BORN WERE THARUS WHICH ACTUALLY HAPPENED AROUND THE REIGN OF AURUNGZEB; IT WAS AROUND 17TH CENTURY INDIA.
I HOPE EVERYBODY KNOWS ASHOKA AND BUDHHA BOTH WERE OF B.C. AND NOT OF A.D. ERA.
HOW COME THARU EXISTED AT THAT B.C. ERA?
DONT DIVERT THE REALIY...PEOPLE THESE DAYS ARE SMART.

JaiHind
Why not add one more thing to your claim.

"The real Lumbini is in India not Nepal."

Siddhartha Gautam Buddha son of ding Shuddhodhan was a kshatriya. The statement that Siddhartha was a Tharu is not credible. Need solid evidence.. this article by a Tharu is not good enough.

Tommorow if some "crappy daily" newspaper publishes an article saying Rawan was a Jew.. would you believe it... Haha...

coward and cruel Aureugzeb could not do anything against most of those Rajput. He was killing and raping only ordinary Hindus of the early 18th century. Though Nepalis Tharus share some traditions and cultures with Rajasthani, these Tharu migrated to Nepal even before Akhaber's time, so they can not be hybrid of Muslims and Rajputs.

By the way, if you guys want to know how cruel Aurengzed was and how lovely Shah Jahan life was, you can watch the movie Tajmahal. Here is the link to the page, scroll down for the link to the movie:

You can find newly released movies as well. I just watched Kabhi Albida Na Kahanaa.

First of all, was there something called as the Tharu community at the time of Gautam Buddha? As far as i know, other etnic groups of the current day including Newars were non existent then. There were something called the Shakyas, Kauliyas, Lichhavis, Guptas, Kirantas etc. But Tharus?????? I think I have to read history again.
