Dear fellow countrymen/women it is my pleasure that outr country is heading towards right direction for good. however some of you are quite skeptical and saddened by girija K being PM. here is my analysis on this matter even though i would have been more happy to see NArahari A as PM but anyways: 1. We should care for a system not for the person. 2.GIrija K is one of our leaders who fought for democracy 3. He is elected by the people so he has a mandate and he was the PM last time when the house was dissolved. 4. We should be happy that our leaders have changed see they did not foght for PM ship all unaimously voted Girija K for PM 5. they are calling for CA through which we will limit gyane's power forever or totally get ird of him. 6. now there is a hope nepal will be peaceful again 7. Girija was the brain behind this "road map" . eventhough he has a lot of corrupt baggage with him but he sure does have experience as a leader and diplomatic aptitude. lets be happy for now lets wait for election Naya nepali tara uday huncha aba. Jaya Nepal!

I agree with KnightCrawler. Deuba is probably most inept leader in the history of mankind, dating back to Satya Uga. He can not complete a whole sentence while speaking. How did he become a PM for 3 times?

Girija has some corrupt people around him, but I do respect him. He has been involved in politics since 2004 sal. BP called him Haldar.

I heard that Girijia doesen't go to East of Nepal especially in Dharan because people there wants to kill him is it true? It's a matter of time before Nepal becomes Indian state now since Girija is now PM.

My special personal regards for the people who participated in those protests. But...., here is an anecdote "the celebrating mass in Nepal" can learn even from that community of rats. A young flibbertigibbet mouse stood up with a gleam with his eyes and delcared, "Okay!, we can't keep losing our brother and sister rats to the voracious cat. Let's put a big bell around his neck so that it rings loudly whenever he comes around the corner and we can all dart for covers!!". "YAY!!!!!!!!!!(^n)", cheered the rest of the mass except one sagacious and old mouse. He went up the dais and quizzed "But who amongst us will put the bell around the villainous cat's neck". The cheers instantly hit a downward spiral. Now, in Nepal we can celebrate only if the maoist problem is solved first. The abolition of corruption, creation of equal oppurnity for all, establishment of a just and equitable society etc are the other goals we can worry about next. I don't mean to be too critical but the reinstatement of the parliament is just like treating the symptoms but not the real disease. Who won at this point? It's not the people of Nepal, it's Girija and his band of brothers. You figure the rest.

it's true this is not the time for rejoicing. Did it means that lifes of the Nepali in nepal would improve given the situation it is right now. On the Left hand, we have Girija as our PM who else? Girija the person who even dosen't even look like Nepali. Girija the so many times PM of nepal without bringing any good changes to nepal. On the center we have Gyan and Paras. On the right, Maobaddi. Only if these 3 hindarance is removed, we can rejoice sincerely

I am not a big fan, but perhaps Girija is the best option for now... Also, this is a crunch time and SPA in general have to play a historic role to deliver what people are wanting. A person or a PM for that matter is not all that important, the system has to perform. I hope he gets ample support and backing up. Jai NEPAL.

if you don't like girija it is fine for now even i would like to see narahari as PM but it doesn't work that way. As long as he is the pres. of nepali congress and as long as NC gets majority in elections he is the likely PM. do you know he is liked by many people in his electoral districts and he always wins. remember he still win for presidency of NC just sometime back thrashing narahari. Girija hasn't done much for the country true. But he is considered a prominent leader. Lets have faith in the system and lets hope forthe best and ltes do our best. At present the main issue shoud be hoe to solve maoist problem not who becomes PM. WE NEED TO SOLVE MAO PROBLEM. this is THE most important thing right now.

Girija is the only neta Gyane is afraid of. All other netas, gyane took them to jail, except girija. Girija did involve in scandals before but tell me a single nepali neta that has not done something wrong. So when choosing from a bunch of corrupt netas, Girija is the most effective against king. Now its up to the public to tame him and direct him towards betterment of country. Peace...

The best part is 7 political parties have choosen "some one" unanimously. And that "some one" is Girija. There is nothing to do with person, as "system" is important. Let's be optimistic at this moment. GANATANTRA JINDAABAD!!

Maoists demand unconditional constituent assembly elections Kantipur Report KATHMANDU, April 25 - Expressing disagreement over Monday’s Royal Proclamation reinstating the dissolved House of Representatives, the Maoists rebels have “completely dismissed†it and demanded unconditional constituent assembly elections. The rebels have also announced different protest programmes “until an announcement of unconditional constituent assembly election was made.†Issuing a statement on Tuesday afternoon, Maoist chairman Prachanda a.k.a. Pushpa Kamal Dahal and No. 2 Maoist leader Dr. Baburam Bhattarai have accused the seven parties of committing a “historic mistake†of welcoming the royal proclamation reinstating the dissolved parliament. “We want to make it clear that the parties which have welcomed and supported the so-called royal proclamation have broken the 12-point understanding and betrayed the feeling of the Nepali people,†the Maoist statement said. The Maoists have also announced a protest programme that includes nationwide demonstrations and showdowns, people’s action against those involved in suppression of their programmes, and blockade of the district headquarters and the capital until the announcement of unconditional elections to the constituent assembly. Demrepnepal jee, 3. He is elected by the people so he has a mandate and he was the PM last time when the house was dissolved. Can u correct your sentence in No. 3 ? Because as far as I know Mr. Deuba was the PM when the House of Representative was desolved and he had recommended to the king to desolve it.
