Namaste Sajha Mitra haru,

I have heard many times but haven't found the pathway.

If you are on TPS what are the process to file green card ?
Do you need Employeer.
I have master degree.
I have E-verified Employeer Company but I recently joined so they are not willing to Sponsor me right away.

But I wanted to find if there is something I can start doing.

Would be beneficial if I join Consultancy and jump project to project in that way Consultancy company can file green card.

Can you guys provide me some info. If its not relevant to your situation. Was there a similar or different approach that you took to do something different which might have work on our case.

Thank you in advance.

I was in OPT-OPT EXTENSION AND TPS.

Only Status I had was TPS. My company filed me EB2 all genuine small company Non IT (Engg.) went through all the steps. and finally interview and was in. It is a straightforward process if you hadn't had any lapses(out of status) or so.

You need to find a Employer who can sponsor for GC

Do you need Employeer.
Yes you need a Employer to sponsor for GC (EB category)

I have master degree.
Its fine with any degree

I have E-verified Employeer Company but I recently joined so they are not willing to Sponsor me right away.

Any Employer will not file the GC immediately it will take 6 months or year to sponsor

? how long it will take to your employer to start GC. IF it takes 6 months to 1 year stay with them. If they are not willing to do sponsor then leave the company find the different employer.

Bottom line is find employer who can sponsor GC. Your first priority is GC

Hopefully you have maintain legal status since your last port of entry (not a TPS entry count)

Would be beneficial if I join Consultancy and jump project to project in that way Consultancy company can file green card.

if they are willing to do GC sponsor just go for it. Your first priority is GC. Make sure that your employer agree to sponsor GC.

My GC is approved based on TPS status and sponsor based

Just dont give up

Thanks, Country_boy
For sharing your story,

My Current Company is not willing to Sponsor bcoz of some failed cases and money associated with it so that's why I am planning to leave the H-1b which they file recently. It's no point of staying in the company if they are not willing to file a green card at all. So I am dropping out of H-1b and thinking about working in TPS until I found a new company that will be willing to sponsor me and file a green card. I can understand it won't happen right away but its better than just not happening at all with current employer.

Can anyone share complications that might have to join consultancy?

Any Bad experience or what are pitfalls to avoid?

Thanks Bakakallu,

Yes, I understand by now without Employer there is no other way to get my GC.
That's why I am leaving the current company who did file H-1b Last year but besides pushing to file GC, They are hesitant due to past couple of failures with some candidate. I don't know how it hurts the company if they file and fail. The HR is being really tough and saying NO, So I was planning to switch to Consultancy and go through that route. Hopefully its much better than wasting my time in each company.

Due have any suggestions or any recommendations.

I have working as a Business Analyst for the past 3-4 yrs.
