It appears that most Nepali households use generic models of routers that cost about 20 bucks. While they're also available for sale on bestbuy site, there are some that cost 200 dollars. How big of a difference does a router make? Especially in Nepal where most buildings are concrete.

The quality of router certainly matters. For better coverage around concrete walls, Get a strong router and couple of repeaters to get best coverage.

Look into mesh wifi routers like Google Wifi, etc. They will work great in your case.
