First of all, my apology if this sounds a little confusing or nonsensical to anyone.

It's been a couple of years that I returned back to Nepal (of course with the aspiration to do something). I thought that with an IT degree from the US and few years of work experience would be an easy thing to build my career in Nepal. However, that has not been the case for me and I feel that it must be a similar story to many others. I have no connection or "sifaris" to talk about and it's been few years of gap in my resume with any IT related job.

I did work in an educational consultancy for about a year guiding Nepali students with foreign universities but felt dissatisfied and left the job (although the company was paying a decent salary in the context of Nepal). Now it has been many months and I have yet to land a decent job in the IT field. Those that offered me a job were paying like Rs 15,000 per month which, in all seriousness, is not enough. I do apply for any job openings that I can find online.

I am hoping for some advise from here as I was pretty active before. What are some avenues that I can make a living without going to agriculture, poultry, or similar occupation because I have no experience in such fields.

if you have just IT degree and you don't have skill in IT, then self learning is a best choice.
your problem sounds weird to me. back in 2005 when i have no much IT experience and US IT degree, i used to be paid around rs 150000. 15 thousand.
