Should be 9

6 ÷ 2 (2+1) = 6 ÷ 2 (3) = 6 ÷ 2 x 3 = 3 x 3 = 9

Brackets > Division > Multiplication

BODMAS.

Also, division and multiplication are same (D is not > M) in priority, you just go from left to right.

BODMAS dictates that Of (sometimes also identified as order of) gets priority. So 6÷2(3) = 6÷6 since 2 of 3 gets priority first.

Answer is 1.

What are you implying? I sense condescension in your reply.

Seriously dude, this question doesn't have a clear cut answer. Answer can be 1 or 9, depending on how you assume extra set of innate parenthesis lies.
Kiddo bro had extra parenthesis after division (notice how he did not collapse parenthesis after addition was done).
6÷(2 (2+1)) =1
(6÷2) (2+1) =9
6÷2 (2+1) = ambiguity, I would lean towards 9. As 6÷ 2× 3= 3×3=9

Sekhar khanal: do you have a link suggesting death of bodmas? Some programming languages do not use bodmas, rather they parse from left to right, if that's what you are referring to.
For those who double down on 1, here is an idea, take your old TI calculator, I have TI84 from 2007 and the answer is 9.
If you have a casio, answer will be 1.
Like I said above, this is an ambiguous problem.
