What is the market like for QA jobs nowadays? I'm training for QA from a consultancy and wanted to know if the jobs are still out there? is it hard to find?

QA jobs are not technical. Developers undermine QA guys. Go for developer job. Take training in .NET or Java. Don't even go for SQL Server. Any .NET developers can do SQL Server database. Hence, go for either development or Oracle database. You make much more money there than in QA.
