Niagra falls is way far than NY and DC ! you can find tour buses for it with vacation trip.
http://www.taketours.com/niagara-falls-ny/local-tours-from-new-york/
There are 2 sky scrapers in NY , one empire state and another world trade center. just take one.

you can go to the top of Empire State or Rockefeller if you want to view 360 degree of NY city
Niagra falls is nowhere close to Ny city it's near the border between UsA and Canada

You shouldn't rent a car in any use the train or uber it cuz parking is pretty expensive in my opinion

There is public transportation in all over ny so dont need car. Depending on your budget you can find hotel from manhattan to queens. Anywhere.

@jaysmi your suggestion thread revived my desire to take this road trip. It was something I wanted to do but was too broke. With family, it is a bit of a challenge, but they don't say 'just do it' for the quitters. One day, my man. Google Map - Road Trip

There are hell load of illegal/GC/Student Nepalese. Just ask them for a place, they will provide you a slice of floor to lay over for a night. While in New York, you can buy 5-trips train tickets for 5 dollars(that is what it used to be 10/11 years ago, so I assume it is 5^5 dollars now), then take a train from Manhattan to Long Island. Manhattan to Long Island takes ~4 hours and two ways is like 8 hours, so you can spend(I mean sleep) the whole night in train. Go cheap, and act like homeless man, it is really fun. When you get off the train, there are lots or publish bathroom where you can even take shower, so get fresh. New York is the best place in the world, I love New York more than any place in the world. You can see people talking all different languages in NY and nobody seems to be bothered by it, but anywhere else in the US, there will always be some dumbos that gets pissed off by it. Washington DC is nice, but I don't like people there. They are mean and loud! And never ever go to NorthEast DC, kale will kick your ass!! The places you wanna go while in DC are museums(smithsonian, Airspace), The White House, Capital, monuments,Lincoln memorial...and more museums. You can also visit Adams Morgan/Dupont Circle area in DC for clubs and bars. Oh, you can get Chinese bus to NY from chinatown which is cheap and fun. So my suggestion to you is that travel cheap and act like a homeless (I don't mean manner-less) and please don't act like Nepalese. Don't spit wherever you want(even when you think no one is watching), don't keep your gaze at black dudes (btw, it's considered manly to check out chicks ass in DC/MD/NY and they all love it), throw rubbish in trash, and always speak English! Happy travel!

I have never paid for hotel from my own pocket. I have slept at the airport many times myself, but there is a new law restricjng nonpassengers to sleep at the airport lounge. Chicago Ohare is the best airport for doing that as the hotels there are very expensive. Travel as much as you can until you get married and have kid, but also learn from your travel experiences. Life is truly a journey!

you guys are hilarious. That's too "chindi' bros. I finished my 12 days tour two weeks back. it was memorable. Guys! have u tried mega-bus? worth a try, worth the money-- its far better than that of Nepal. They are double decked and u can sleep n also have  wifi. In atlanta, I took rental car from Enterprise N travelled to smoky-niagara falls( it was awesome)-bloomfied(NJ)- travelled in bus from NJ to visit NY 2day- battery park, time square, 9/11 memorial, museum & view point 360, Jackson heights ate Nepali food in Bhim dai pasal, central park, horse ride, subway travel was confusing at first but nailed in next day- Baltimore harbour, Nepal house, met premraja dai, than travelled DC- parking problem in DC, paid 30$ for 2 hrs parking, all places visited there by walking- next day gone to capitol hill N travelled by roaming all around. returned through VA, NC, SC, TN and GA. last day visited stone mountain GA & submitted car n returned FL in mega bus. IT was not very expensive, as to my expectation. tq guys for your suggesations. I'd recommend to u too.
The only thing i missed was I could have gone Ocean city in delware n could have stayed a day in CAnada to see niagara view from CAnada N travel Ontario. other than that it was A+.
