I'll be filing for citizenship next year around march. I still have the hand written passport. Do ya'll think I'll need a MRP for that or my old hastalikhit would work.

The old handwritten passport would work until Nov 25, 2015. So if you think you would get a US passport before that then you should be fine.

If you file for citizenship with a valid passport then you should be fine. If you citizenship gets denied then that is a different story!
