Has anyone applied for Canadian visitor visa lately??? I had applied it back in oct , oct 22 2018 to be exact and still no update.

It was an online submission. When i looked at the processing time on their official website, its showing 15 days max.

Not sure what’s going. Not even sure who i should be reaching out to get an update on my application. It just says “ we are processing.....”

Please do share your experience!

I am on TPS , is that why??? 🤔

Thanks!!!

@daisynepali bro

They review all the documents very carefully and your intent on the visitor visa.

Getting Canadian visa has its own criteria. Strong ties and good financial status including good job. You have to prove that you have a genuine intent. I applied last year got approved in just 2 days because I was attending seminar organized by my employer. Since then I already travelled Canada 3 times including twice by driving. Did you submit travel document as well? Recently two of my friends were refused Canadian visa as officer said applicants have potential immigrant intent despite they have both TPS and F1 status. Good luck and have some patience.

I agree with Gmajor! I was worried that I may not get my visa approved as I'm on TPS. I included my car owernship document, letter from my employer and yes all those arrival and departure stamp in your passport. Did you have invitation letter from your friends or family? I hope you explained it well in your explanation letter. And hope you get to hear the good news soon!

I have all the supporting documents including invitation letter from my family, employer letter and my bank statement.

I wanted to go visit my family and come back as simple as that 😩

I hear people getting approvals in less than a week and its making me so anxious 😔

Anyways, hoping for the best.

Thank you guys for your response 😊

@Daisynepalibro You can submit a case inquiry request via their website! I had to do this when they took like a week and half to send my passport. Hope you get the approval notice soon

Bibek ji,

So basically there is no way to determine that as for every visitor visa you need to prove you will return back to the country of origin or the residence. Along with that you will have to prove you have sufficient funds for your travel. So the officer mainly looks at this and decides whether they want to give you the visa or not.
Another criteria they may look at is your health.

To increase your chances:
if you have family or relatives in Canada and can write you a letter of sponsorship covering your food, accommodation it increases your chances.
You can show the entry and exit stamp on your passport as this shows the proof that you returned back from your trip.

I hope this helps :D

Maximum processing time is 30 days.
I applied mine on 12th Dec 2018, received a mail saying for further processing passport is required, send them and got it within a couple of weeks.
I am on TPS as well.

Hi, I applied for Canada visa online from USA. But I received an email from "New Delhi Migration Center" saying they are processing my application. Did anyone of you receive this kind of email when you applied from USA? I am in tourist visa in USA and just planning to visit to Canada too before going back to nepal. Just wondering where I will have to send the passport if they asked for it, USA or New Delhi.
