Greetings to you and your family from Radio Dovaan-"the only nepali radio program produced in the USA'. We have been serving the nepali communities with latest news, analysis, interviews and entertainment for almost 2 years. It would not have been possible for us to sustain for so long without your firm commitment and support. In fact it gives me a great pleasure to share with you a truth that Radio Dovaan has been thriving by the support of generous people like you. I would also like to seize this
opportunity to emphasize our goal of serving you in a best possible way in days to come.
Please come and join us on the 28th of September, 2002 at Cabin John Park, Potomac, Maryland to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Radio Dovaan. Dear folks we would like to honor you amidst a ceremony on that very day. Please spread this message among others too (who may not have an e-mail access).
We would also love to well come former or current peace corps volunteers and people from diplomatic corps. Please remember that the traditional nepali food (TATO-TATO BHAAT, ROTI, DAAL MASU, ACHHAR ANI TAMA
BODI) will be served and NEPALI LOK AND DOHAREE GEET will be presented to entertain you.
Directions:
From N. Virginia and DC, and N. Maryland and Baltimore: Take 495 . to 270 N. On
270 take the exit for Democracy Blvd. (west). Go to 4th light and make Right onto Westlake
Drive as if going to the Montgomery Mall. Pass Montgomery Mall on right and continue on
Westlake Drive. You will see a sign for "Cabin John Regional Park Ice Skating Rink" on your left.
Continue on West lake Dr. past this sign and make the next left. Note, there are no signs for Cabin
John Park at this entrance. Parking lot will be on your left. Picnic shelters "I" is a short walk away
towards park area on your right. If you miss the park entrance on West lake Drive you will reach Tukerman Lane.
Make a left here and park entrance will be a short distance away on your left. If you enter here you
will have to walk towards mini-rail station to get to the picnic shelter.
From points North and West:
Take 270 South and exit on Democracy blvd (west) and follow same directions as above.
Cabin John Regional Park is one of the most children friendly parks in this region with a mini
train (rides are 1.50), and a humongous play area. Hope to see all of you and the kids there.
Note: Cabin John regional Park does not permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages in its premises.
