Published Outstanding Contribution to Nepali Literature by a new author (Equivalent to Nepali Rupees 15,000 and a Plaque) (Note: a same author could get in combination of two or three of these awards) - Haribhakta Katuwal Geeti Kavita INLS Best Book Award for
outstanding contribution to Nepali literature by publishing any of the Gajal, Geet, Jhyaure, Folk songs or related book. (Equivalent to Nepali Rupees 15,000 and a Plaque) - Sara Children INLS Best Book Award for outstanding contribution to
Nepali literature by publishing children?s books. (Equivalent to Nepali Rupees 15,000 and a Plaque) - Rohini Sharma? Dhawalagiri
INLS Best Book Award for outstanding contribution to Nepali literature by a author of Dhawalagiri origin. (Equivalent to Nepali Rupees 10,000 and a Plaque) Qualification: - "Contributions to Nepali literature" indicates the text
of a book in Nepali language. It also implies that the committee shall consider all forms of literary writings - fiction, non-fiction, poetry. Reprints and compilations are not eligible. However, the exceptions include, reprints within 2 years of first publication and compiled work of authors previously published original articles. - For 2005's award nominations, publication should be first
published between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2004. - "Author" may include co-authors. The author(s) may be
awarded the medal posthumously. - The book must be a self-contained entity, not dependent on other
media (i.e., sound or film equipment) for its enjoyment. - Nomination will be submitted with ten copies of the book and they
will not be refundable but the property of INLS. - A cover letter and a complete bio-data of author(s) should be
submitted along with the book. Cover letter should include a line specifying that the submitted work is an original work by the author(s). - Nomination should be received by INLS by January 15, 2005.
- None of the INLS cabinet members and their immediate family
members may be nominated. In such case, an individual should resign from the board/committee. - Any notable campaign by the author or publisher will disqualify
their nomination. - Award result will be announce on Bhanu Jayanti second week of
July, 2005, in USA. Award will be distributed on Devakota Jayanti in November, 2005, in Washington D.C., USA. How to submit a nomination? - Any one can submit a nomination.
- Nomination should be received by INLS by January 15, 2005. INLS is
