"Sur Sudha"
Classical Music Concert

World renouned Sur Sudha is coming to Washington DC on July 24th. Nepalese Student Association of GMU brings Sur Sudha concert in Washington DC in support of the construction of the Devghat Briddhashram (a senior residence facility) near Narayanghat in Nepal. The artistes have agreed to donate their portion of the revenue to the project. During the October 2003 NRN convention in Kathmandu the project was adopted by the International Coordination Committee of the NRN Association. It was decided that it would be a gift to Nepal from the NRNs around the world. The Bharatpur Chamber of Commerce and FNCCI are on board to help with the administrative details in Nepal of the construction of the Briddhashram and its eventual management.

Please come and listen to the soothing music straight from the homeland, from the lap of the majestic Himalayas. The smooth melody of sitar, flute and tabla is sure to soar you through seven seas and take you on a journey back to Nepal. Your support will help build a home for senior citizens in Nepal.

Sur Sudha is known as Nepal's MUSICAL AMBASSADORS and is devoted to making music to disseminate a universal message of peace and harmony, and supporting the effort alleviate poverty from the face of the earth. Through its music, Sur Sudha brings to the world the message of peace through traditional Nepali instrumental music rendered with the flute, sitar and tabla; three instruments most popular in Nepal. Sur Sudha consists of Musicians, Surendra Shrestha in Tabla, Prem Rana Autari in Flute, Tara Bir Singh Kansakar in Sitar.
