Invitation to DC Metro Screening:
America Nepal Society (ANS) proudly presents the 'Muna Madan', an acclaimed Nepali Lyrical play (Giti Natak), written by Mahakabi Laxmi Prasad Devkota one of the greatest legendary poets in Nepali literature has been made into a feature film. Laxmi Prasad Devkota said on his death bed that, "You can burn all the literature pieces that I wrote in my entire life, except 'Muna Madan'." After making the film in Nepal, producer Mr. Nawa Raj Dhakal brought the movie to Hollywood for an Oscar nomination. Out of the hundreds of foreign films considered, 'Muna Madan' was voted position 34 in selection process.
