Boston Tamu Samaaj has started its Earthquake Relief Project in helping rebuild concrete classrooms for Shree Namrong Devi Lower Secondary School in Gankhu VDC, Gorkha. Shree Namrong Devi Lower Secondary School has a total of 125 students in grades 1-8. It is one of the neediest schools in a remote part of Gorkha that was completely destroyed by the Earthquake leaving education almost inaccessible to the children in the distraught community.
Boston Tamu Samaaj donated 100% of the funds raised last year at the Annual Summer BBQ together with the funds raised for Earthquake Relief Work in Nepal, last year. And Boston Tamu Samaaj will donate 100% of the funds raised this year as well to continue rebuilding the school.
