DEVKOTA JAYANTI CELEBRATION with Nepali Literature and Art Festival

Dear Nepali community members and friends of Nepal,

International Nepali Literary Society (INLS), Washington D.C. is organizing a Nepali Literature and Art Festival to mark Devkota Jayanti 2003. INLS cordially invites all Nepali community members and friends of Nepal to this program.

What: Devkota Jayanti Celebration with Nepali Literature and Art Festival
When: Sunday, October 26th, 2003 at 1:30PM.
Where: Johnson Center (Ground Floor), George Mason University, Fairfax, VA

Program:
1. Nepali Writers Workshop Nepali poetry and fiction writing techniques
2. Literary Art Exhibit  Display of arts based on poems of Nepali poets
3. Tribute to Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota  Highlight of his contributions
4. Report from INLS participation to First Non-Resident Nepali Conference
5. Key note address by Mr. Stephen Eckerd, Coordinator, Imaginasia Family Program, Smithsonian Museum
6. INLS Outstanding Contribution to Nepali Literature Award presentation
7. Cultural program (main attraction: Lakhe Dance and Manjushree Dance from a Professional Nepali Dancer).
8. Moti Samasya Purti Poetry Competition and Poetry Recitation
9. Prize distribution to Poetry and Bhanu Bhakta Memorial Volleyball Competition Winners
