Please come and join us for this day of action. We want to raise awareness about the conditions of Nepalese and other migrant workers in Qatar
DATE: Oct 13th (Sunday)
TIME: 11 AM to 2 PM PST
VENUE: Union Square and Ferry Building (has lots of foot traffic). Exact cross street address will be shared when we get closer to that date.
OBJECTIVE: Raise awareness with general public and get more people to sign the petition. Later on, we will target policy makers (Qatar Embassy, Nepal Embassy, UN, FIFA)
We want to encourage folks in other cities that care about this issue to do a protest on the same day, if possible. (Rise Up Minnesota, NY, DC, London, Mumbai, KTM...)
Note: We will share some guidelines on how we will run this peaceful protest. stay tuned.
FYI...A team of us volunteers are working behind the scene to get the protest materials ready, city permit clearance and other stuff we need. thanks for your support. Spread the word. # Say No to Slavery and Yes to Human Dignity !!
