In recognition of our 30th Anniversary, ANS/CA will be hosting a full day of
events during the annual Dashain Celebration. We invite all you to join us
at this special event!

WHY you should come?
Everest, A Historical Perspective and Celebration
Come hear renowned climber and guide Kurt Wedberg's superb program of
summiting Mt. Everest by the Northeast Ridge in a 1995 expedition including
George Mallory Jr. Also meet high altitude Gyalbu Sherpa, whose experiences
include climbing Everest by different routes, and an expedition to K2. The
program includes a Slide Show and demonstration of high altitude climbing
equipment.
Mahabharata: The Big Dance
A documentary produced by Kurt Meyer and Pamela Deuel on the rural folk art
version of the Mahabharata from the Tharu's of Dangaura.
Nepali Language Workshop
Geared for children, this hands-on workshop will teach the Nepalese alphabet
and some basic vocabulary. Children will get to practice writing their names
in Nepali with a variety of art projects.
Banquet Dinner:
A special sit-down banquet dinner featuring special award ceremony.
Cultural Program:
A spectacular program featuring local artists and special guests performing
music and dance routines.
Grand Concert by 1974 A.D.:
Nepal's most talented #1 band: their dynamic performance will melt your
hearts and keep you rocking all night long.
Special performance by Manose Singh:
Bamboo flutist, Manose Singh, from the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, is one of
the most noteworthy new faces to the world music scene. At the age of
twenty-two, his talent as a solo performer in North Indian classical music
and Ragas, as well as his versatility in other genres such as Nepali Folk
Music, Jazz and Fusion, has carried him through Europe and America.
