Global Nepal Fest (GNF) 2013, is an outdoor event that will be held in Washington DC. The purpose of Global Nepal Fest is to promote Nepal to the global community through art, music, culture, food, tourism, handicrafts, and more in a family friendly environment. Vendors will showcase various products, painting, and food from Nepal. Exciting cultural dances and the instrumental music from the Himalayas will entertain you throughout the day.

Part of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to WALK FOR NEPAL (WFN)- DC, a charitable organization working extensively for the betterment of Nepal. Walk for Nepal (WfN) is a common platform to inspire and mobilize Nepalis and friends of Nepal to make meaningful contributions to Nepal by organizing walkathons around the world.

First Annual Global Nepal Fest was successfully held on April 14, 2012 at the YARD PARK, Washington DC. Festival was able to attract more than 3000 audience and was able promote Nepal to the wider audience. Though, the festival was not profitable, Global Nepal Fest helped SARVODAYA USA and GEM Nepal, charitable organizations working in Nepal, by providing them free stalls and giving exposer to the larger crowd. The money generated from the raffle tickets were also donated to these two organizations.
