NSS cordially invite you and your family to join our Annual Dashain Celebration Party at Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 NE 80th St., Redmond, WA 98073 on Saturday, 15 October, 2011. This year we are presenting our Dashain event as a Ramailo Mela which will have kid’s activities, Taste of Nepal, Raffle Drawings, Nepalese Cultural Program, Nepali Music Concert, Open Dance Floor with DJ Rajdeep and more.
Program Schedule
6:00 Door Opens
6:00 – 8:00 Socializing, Activities for Kids and Ladies
8:00-10:00 Cultural Program
10:00-11:00 Open Dance Floor with DJ Rajdeep
11:00-12:00 Cleaning and Clearing the Hall
Activities for Kids and Ladies 6 PM – 8 PM
We will have volunteer Face Painters and flag making activities for Kids and Henna Artist for ladies. We request everyone to be on time to enjoy these fun activities.
Kids’ Nepalese Costume Fashion show/parade
NSS cultural Team is also planning to have a short Nepalese costume parade for kids on the stage. If you would like your kid(s) to participate and showcase their Nepalese costume, please contact our cultural program coordinators, Dr. Nitin Thapa or Mr. Suraj Ranjitkar ASAP.
Taste of Nepal
Verities of Nepalese foods will be served at the event. You can enjoy Cell roti-Aachar, Choila/Sekuwa-Chiura, Khasi ko Masu-Bhaat-Tarkari for $5-$7 per plate. Please bring some extra cash with you.
Cultural Program
Enjoy Nepalese cultural program performed by locally talented dancers and singers. We will have different cultural dances, poem recital, modern and folk songs, and Nepali music concert at our program followed by Open Dance Floor with our emerging and sensational DJ RAJDEEP.
Raffle Drawing
We will have couple of wonderful Raffle Gifts for everyone who participates in our event, wearing Nepalese Costume. We would like to see different costumes of Nepal representing diverse ethnic group and culture. NSS is looking for Raffle Gift Sponsors, please contact Mrs. Kalpana Sharma at 425-772-7052 or email us at info@nepalseattle.org , if you or your company would like to donate some gift Raffles.

We also want to inform our members that NSS will not be serving any alcoholic beverages at this event as we are not allowed to sever alcohol at this venue.
