Come celebrate the advent of Dashain with GMIN and the world renowned Nepali folk instrumental ensemble Kutumba, who are performing in NYC for the first time as part of their USA tour. 

Also featuring performances by Raju Lama (Mongolian Hearts) and Diwas Gurung (Ayurveda) who will perform in collaboration with Kutumba.

ABOUT GMIN
GMIN is a 501 (c) 3 registered nonprofit organization in the USA and was founded by energetic and dedicated individuals who want to see changes made from a Grassroot level in Nepal. GMIN is based in New York City and we have chapters in the UK and several cities in the US. We use local knowledge and collective intelligence to address the pressing issues of Nepalese society. 
GMIN's focus is currently in the field of Education in Rural Nepal where we have been renovating/replacing dilapidated school buildings that are in need of infrastructural repair. So far GMIN has completed the building of 7 schools and we are currently renovating 2 schools in rural Nepal. 
Besides renovation activities GMIN is also involved in student sponsorships and teacher training programs.

ABOUT KUTUMBA
The word ‘Kutumba’ holds a special meaning in the Nepali language. It stands for a unique bond amongst community members. As their name, Kutumba is all about bringing together traditional folk tunes and instruments with new and improvised sounds and ideas.
Kutumba is a folk instrumental ensemble, group of six professionals from Kathmandu. Having come together for the preservation of their culture and art, Kutumba wishes to spread love and joy of Nepali folk music throughout the world. Self motivated and self driven, Kutumba is a group with their own unique sound and vision.The seven members have different roots and backgrounds in music. Kutumba is the harmony of traditional roots, culture and new sounds.
