This year we are very proud to announce that the guest of honor†will be “Janakabi “ Mr. Durga Lal Shrestha (Khobilu) and the Special Guest will be legendary artist
Mr. Madan Krishna Shrestha.
Janakabi Mr. Durga Lal Shrestha(Khobilu), is a famous poet of Nepal Bhasa and Nepali. Some people brand him as Progressive literateur or People's literateur. He is considered as Janakabi or people's poet in Nepal Bhasa. He has written songs for the famous Nepal Bhasa movie Rajamati. His song Jhee Masini (We are not dead yet) is considered as one of the most powerful songs of the Nepal Bhasa Movement. One of his popular recently recorded song is Phool ko Aankhaa Maa, Phoolai Sansara whose music was composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya and was sung by the vocalist Ani Chhoyang Lama. This is included in the album "Moments of Bliss", all of the songs in it are written by Mr. Shrestha. He has also penned a few songs for the movie Balidan which was based on Popular Uprising and the fight against Panchayati System for bringing multiparty democracy in Nepal.
Mr. Madan Krishna Shrestha, a legendary artist is one of the most successful Nepalese comedians. He became the centre of attraction amongst Nepalese viewers and critics after his performance in Rastriya Gaijatra Mahotsav in 2032 BS. Before meeting Hari Bamsha Acharya, he had contributed in art alone for 10 years. The duo have become a hit and have done many comedic dramas and events in all parts of the world.
We are honored to have “Janakabiâ€, Mr. Durga Lal Shrestha (KHOBILU) and Mr. Madan Krishna Shrestha join us to celebrate our Nepal Sambat 1129 Celebration.
