I think this question has been asked before, but I'm trying to see if anyone here has successfully changed their status from TPS to F1. If so, were you previously on an F1 status before? Have you maintained lawful stay in the US? Did you ever travel outside of the US since your TPS approval? Thanks in advance!

Not COS - but I did Reinstatement back in January 29, 2025…both COS and reinstatement and COS use I-539 though, you just select wither COS or reinstatement when filling out I-539

Got approved on April 24, 2024 for reinstatement back to F1.

No premium processing for reinstatement, did by myself online, no lawyer…approved within 3 months

Was in F1 before, got TPS….dropped out of f1 for 2022, so was out of f1 for 2 years but was lawfully presence throughout the time in TPS

Yes I did travel outside of US after my TPS approval, but I didn’t use Advance parole, used F1 to travel even though I had approved TPS.

I came on F1. After receiving TPS, I did not attend School. I travelled Nepal in 2022, September in Advance parole. I am still unsure whether to apply I 539 or leave us before August 5.

Further, is it possible to renew DL, state ID in while I 539 pending ? any idea

Aru kuro chai khasai guarantee bhanna sakinna, tara DL, ID chai pending case ko bhar ma didaina unless your are in those states that allow DL to undocumented. Pending TPS dekhara ta lina garo bhanthe. TPS pending ma ta EAD ni hunthyo. If you’re a genuine student, go to Nepal and did counselor processing. Status matrai maintain garna khojya ho bhane chai ahile worth it chaina. Tehi gas station ma kam garna ta garo pari racha. Ya basera matrai hune haina. Soch bichar garera student garne ki nagarne bichar garnu hai Sabai jana le.

I was thinking 6 months extension previously but that possibility is over. There are so many pros and cons on both sides. Yeta ko job ta cool nai thiyo and naya aako bhai haru le bhane anusar covid pachi college ko student Haru panda man nai gardinan. and nepali samaj 2 number ko job(dalal,ghus) lai promot grarcha. TU ko teacher Haru univ ma jana sakdainan, no punishment etc. Probably more chances I will go back and will not come back and enjoy own world. Academia ma ka pauna ni ali garo cha bhanne sunya thiye maile chai. Thupro research fundings katya cha. Ani student aid pani totally messed up cha bhanne sunya ho. Aba kati ko satya ho tha chaina. You sound like a guy genuinely interested in academia. I know some people who is just trying to extend their stay in the US by hook or by crook. Nepal is full of possibilites right now. Agriculture, hospitality, service, IT dekhi liyera infrastructure, architecture duniya cha. Paisa USA ko jasto hudaina hola, tara kaagaz bhayena kahile nikalcha bhanera basna pardaina. Yo student ma gayera gas station handai kahile raid parcha bhanera basnu bhanda yeta Bachelor's sakeka haru chai farkida nai ramro hola jasto lagcha malai chai.

Again, I'm not trying to dissuade anyone to pursue their dream of staying in the US. This is just my personal opinion.
