Trump and House Republicans just pushed through the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” and the name alone tells you it’s a PR stunt built on cruelty. But here’s what the bill really does: it weaponizes the immigration system to punish the poor, scare immigrants, and reward the wealthy elite.
This isn’t “reform.” It’s white nationalist policy with a designer belt.

- $1,000 asylum fee – because escaping war and death squads should apparently require a GoFundMe now.
- Fees for parole, TPS, juvenile protection, work permits, and even court delays. It’s all monetized. Your trauma is a revenue stream.
- A 3.5% remittance tax on immigrant workers sending money home—an economic lifeline taxed for sport.
- $46+ billion for border walls, ICE raids, surveillance tech, and private detention centers. Welcome to the American gulag.
And what’s not in the bill? Anything that touches corporate immigration programs like H-1B. Because of course, it’s fine if you’re a foreign worker serving Amazon or Google—but not if you’re a refugee fleeing a U.S.-funded conflict.
This bill doesn’t just target immigrants—it’s class warfare dressed up in a flag. It punishes the poor for being desperate. It taxes brownness. It criminalizes movement. And it says loud and clear: “This country isn’t for you—unless you serve us or make us money.”
They’re not hiding it anymore. And neither should we.
Burn it all down (figuratively… for now).
