It's in Tempe a suburb of Phoenix (5th largest city in the US). The school itself is the largest school in the US in terms of student population. Beautiful winter weather, hot summer for approx 5 mos. Big Companies: Intel, Motorola, Microchip, Honeywell, Google, Broadcom, American Express, Bank of America. Living expenses very affordable compared to other big cities.

Requirements to get In State Tuition
Visit http://www.asu.edu/fa/ for more information. Have to be Arizona Resident to get In State Tuition. Graduate Tuition Cost is $15,730 for full time out of state students which is slightly higher than undergraduate tuition cost. The tuition cost for anything more than fulltime credit hours (12 for undergraduate and 9 for graduate and 6 for PhD is the same. ie there's no extra charge for taking extra classes). You can take up to 18 undergraduate credit hrs per semester without approval from your advisor and up to 22 credit hrs upon his/her approval. Graduate students can take up to 15 credit hrs per semester. Graduate students have to stubmit a plan of study during their first and last semesters which must be approved by the department before they can graduate.

PhD students may get up to 16000 per year including tuition waivers, while Masters students may get up to 12000 including tuition waivers. These figures are however rough estimates and may vary depending on the department and the availability of funds and research. A typical GA work may involve software and database development and or data management. Undergraduate scholarship is generally not available for first time freshmen but may be available for transfer applicants.

  The numbers for standard entrance exams varies by programs. If you apply for a Graduate program in Engineering, then 700 is the generally the cutoff for GRE Quantitative and 5 for writing, although you might still be considered if you have a good GPA in undergraduate studies. Low verbal scores are generally ignored in engineering programs as long as the writing is good. The MBA program requires high GMAT scores and two years of industry experience.
