I have a question for all of you: How do you think this world and universe was created? You might believe there was nothing--not even darkness, and out of the darkness came curiosity, which led to the formation of "Om" (Hinduism); or you might believe that God created the universe in six days and rested the seventh day-- the day of Sabbath; or you might believe in the "Big Bang" theory. I want some views and opinions in this subject-- a subject of scheer interest to philosophers, religious orthodoxes and scientists. -- DBB

Dear DBB, I don't know how the worlds and universe is created, neither i am intersted on it. if i have to believe, i will certainly believe on Big Bang theory in some extent. But if you want to know about Dharma (laws of nature), Science( laws of matter) and their relationship, i can let you know as per my experience and understanding. dhananjya

Big Bang- there no other theory more convincing than the BIG BANG theory. Thanks to Hubble we are discovering birth of planets and stars. And for creatures that live on these planets all evolved from nothing to what we are today. The the only thing that is permanent is what the nature gives us(permanent) the rest is all man made(temporary). As far as religion goes, i don't believe it had anything to do with our creation. Religion is an institution created by humans to keep other humans in check(false sense of security). No scientific proof of it actually operating through logic and reasoning(you have to have faith in order for it to work)..more like Placebo effect.

DBB: If you look closely at all the theories of Creations and evolutions you will see a great similarities in them. I could go on and on about it but just as an example of the similarity between Hindu mythology and Evolution - The ten incarnations of Vishnu starts with Matsya, the fish - science believes that life started in the ocean Kurma, the tortoise - than evolved into reptiles Varaha, the boar - then mammals Narasimha - then ape (half human/half animal) etc. etc. even the christian's 6 days of creation follows the logic of theory of creation.
