its been been so long time. still cant get over her. we had been together so long.  did everything together and now i feel so alone. I have a job but no friends. Now a days i think about her a lot and think about what went wrong. I loved her so much and she did the same too, somewhere it went wrong and started fighting too much ended up on a nasty breakup cast crap and such. When I left her on the last day of my college i figured I would never wanna see her again because of the crap she gave me. Now I have not talked to her for some time and suddenly i am starting to miss her a lot. I feel so alone, i have no friends in this damn place. so what i have a job, i guess it is not that important. Even though I have bad memories with her, I still miss her. This loneliness is so sad and miserable. I never thought I would miss her like this after all she had said to me leading to the breakup. is this normal to not get over her even after such a long time? even if the breakup was so nasty?

What are your option to get back with her? If you can't then move on and find somebody else. I think, the problem is, that you are alone by yourself. Last edited: 07-Jul-10 10:20 AM

there is no possibility of getting back together with her. what sucks is I dont have any close friends where i am. I want to go out somewhere else but I have a job. Maybe if i had some close friends here it would not be that bad. I want to start dating again but not meeting anyone and on top of that I miss her so it is even worse

bajara · Jul 6, 2010 10:29 PM

dude, looks like you not missing her but your lonliness is making you think about the good days you had with her..move on man...join gym, focus your energy on something new, carry out a hobby that you always wanted to do...go out, date girls...have fun man...life's too short to think about the past...and remember guilt is a useless feeling.

kanchho bhai · Jul 6, 2010 10:42 PM

thanks kancho bhai. yes you are right. I do go out occasionally with some friends here, go work out. still on those times when i am by myself or with friends who are couples makes me think of the past. I know time will heal but maybe if i was not so lonely it would be lot better. Believe me I want out of this place too but fortunetely i have a job and possibly a career. I know I am kinda selfish for thinking about her just because I am feeling alone but sometimes I feel guilty for my part of what I did to make that situation of us going seperate ways. we were very close to each other, best ffriends to each other for almost entire college. I consolidate thinking Whatever happens for a better but it is not easy for my mind to divert. I am seriously considering looking job somewhere else.

I feel like sharing my story with a hope that it might help you get over things. I had a break-up with someone during the middle of last semester. It had lasted for only a few months, but I was already into her and I was heart-broken when it all ended. I was depressed for a few weeks but I tried to remain strong. Good thing for me - I had friends around. But, I couldn't really talk to them openly - because I felt that would make me weak in front of them and I wanted to project myself as a strong person. Those days were like hell - but I spend time reading about how to get over break-ups. They helped a bit I think. But then, there was always this feeling that made me worse off - Can I get someone as good as her again? What about all the emotional investment I had made in her? She was probably the right person for me, and maybe I would come nowhere close to finding a good match for a long time. Then at the end of semester I started dating someone else. I had become stronger and did not give myself in emotionally for some time because of my past experience. But from the time we met, we spent almost every moment together for more than a month. It was the most intense and sweetest experience I've ever had. This new girl was better than the pervious one in almost every way. And, we both like each other more than what had been the case in my previous relationship.  When I think of it now, I am so glad that things ended with the previous girl. Things might not be the same with you for it seems that you have had a more serious relationship than mine, so it might be harder for you to get over her. But, maybe it ended because probably you weren't the right matches for each other, and you might meet someone who is better and right for you at some point. When that happens you will completely get over her and also be glad that things ended.  From my experience, break-ups usually bring into memories only the intensest peaks in relationships. Maybe you're going through that phase. I went to this mindfulness conference for a few days after my break-up - it kinda helped when I was gathering myself together. Maybe meditation can help you. Since you have a job, you're making money - so invest in things that help you get over those feelings. Also try to think of what is the most that you're missing about her - is it the qualities that you saw in her, are they the emotions, is it just sex or as you've mentioned is it more about feeling lonely? It might help you to think this way and figure out what exactly you miss and then try tackling them. I hope for the best for you. One last advise - don't get drunk. You might have more of a tendency to do this because you're alone and you recently broke up. But, drinking is depressant. I recall how after every time after the break-up I got drunk, I felt really [Disallowed String for - bad word]ed up and miserable.

Hey bajara, Just wanna share some of my experiences. I had breakup with someone who i gave my whole my life. We were inche close to marriage but same old sh%t, her family came between so we had to depart. I know how you feel regarding how i feel at those times and even sometime now but life has to go on buddy. Remember, this kinda of moments are there for you to make more stronger. It's true that it' hard to overcome the pain of losing someone that you love more than yourself but being lonely and having depressing feelings doesn't help you at all. She is living life and happy so you gotta do the same thing. LOVE LIFE AND LIFE WILL LOVE YOU BACK.   LIFE IS A BATTLE HOMIE, YOU WIN SOME AND YOU LOSE SOME BUT AT THE END OF DAY, YOU JUST GOTTA MOVE ON....   YOU'RE NOT ALONE SO STAY AWAY WITH THOSE NEGATIVE FEELINGS BECAUSE THAT WILL EAT YOU ALIVE...   TC.   LATERZ SIRUS_ME

The reason you miss her so much is because you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere with no friends. You may be trying to keep yourself busy with work and other things, but when you come home, it’s just you and you start thinking about her.  Now, the only way to get over her is to start dating. You may think that she was perfect and everything, which could be true, but there are lots of good people out there. If you don’t give other people chances, you’re never gonna find anybody.   Yes, it’s normal to not get over your ex for years. Just think about all the good things that happened to you and understand that it’s a cycle. You meet somebody you like, you think that he/she is the one, at first everything seems great, as you get closer you start to see the bad sides of the person, you choose to ignore the bad sides because you think you can live with them, then one day you decide that it is not really what you want, you don’t want to make compromises, then you break up. It’s all because even when we think we know what we want, we don’t really know what we want.  Loneliness is unavoidable. Even people in relationships and married people can be lonely.  You just have to learn to live with it. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. But not having friends to hang out with right after break up can be one of the worst things that can ever happen to anyone.  My suggestion is to find a job somewhere where you have your close friends around or may be start dating? You might surprise yourself when you start liking somebody that you never thought you would actually go out with lol. All you gotta do is give somebody a chance, good luck ;) Last edited: 07-Jul-10 07:34 PM Last edited: 07-Jul-10 07:35 PM
