Hi all- One of my friends is traveling the USA via Hongkong taking Cathay Pacific airlines. Do Nepalese citizen need a transit visa ? Thank you for the recent updates on this route. If anyone has traveled recently, could you please highlight your experiences? Thanks Yurika

I did not need a transit visa but I had to hustle my way into the flight with lot of talking and had to put up an act , I know it does not sound real , I also told them that my EAD card was my greencard and they bought it , don’t take any chances they ask for a complete document before boarding , get a transit visa , they ask for you to show your greencard.

It is not a good time to travel via Hong Kong. Many flights were canceled per news.
