Namaste Everyone!

I have question related to the old version of i-94. So i still have my old i-94 stapled to my handwritten passport and I'm planning for a trip to Nepal soon. Should I hand over my i-94 to the gate agent while boarding the plane or should I hand it over to DHS while they check my passport and boarding pass?

When I flew back in 2012 i handed over to the gate agent but since i-94 is all electronic now I'm quite confused what should I do with my old i-94. Your feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

There are two ways. I went back last year and I had paper I-94 and I submitted it to the gate agent. I had a friend who submitted it to the CBS after coming back. Just submit it before boarding the plane to the agent. Easy and you can relax in Nepal not thinking about I-94 :P

Well, now since its all electronic you don't need to submit your I-94 anymore. Even if you try to hand over your I-94 they won't accept it. They scan your passport before departure and submit it to DHS or responsible parties. That's how they will record your departure.

This happened to me a few years ago. I tried to hand my I94 but they didn't accept it. I was worried but everything went fine. So no need to stress about it.

@choronepali: Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it. But the other thing is that I will be using my MRP passport, my i-94 is attached to my old handwritten passport. So do you think it will be any issue? I'm taking both of my passport just in case they ask about it.

As I said earlier give it to the gate agent. I had paper I-94 with old passport and travelled last year on MRP.
