In OPT until OCt 2015, then only in TPS (Oct 2015- March 2016). Filed F1 reinstatement in March of 2016 and recieved Intent to Deny. But sent bunch of documents and got reinstated sometime July 2016. Have been maintaining both f1 and Tps since then. Good luck.

@bakakallu. You can't change your status from TPS to F1. Neither can you reinstate since it has already been three years since you abandoned your F1. nepal1827 was able to reinstate his/her status because he/she filed for reinstatement within 6 months. The only option that I know about changing from TPS to F1 is to get an i-20, leave the country and apply for consular processing. Thanks,

You can google and get all the details for reinstatement. Initially just send the documents that USCIS has listed like- new i-20 from college, passport, previous i-20 and reason for not maintaining F1. They might ask you to send additional details when they issue RFE You will find plenty of information in google. You can also ask DSO of your new school for the details.
