9 Double $even..is made up of Suraj Shrestha and Sudhir Shakya on 2003.... Sudhir who is now in Dubai,Suraj (above) is currently working fo' his 9Double7 project...self-handly giving 9Double7 the recongnition with his laid back flow,tight lyrics,controversial song,that made him popular within the nep-hop community.
9Double7 has also collborated songs with other Nepali artist such as Bishow Shrestha,Jehova(Spadix & Ace),Mistah.K(Nepsydaz),Sarad Singh,LadyRappa-Surasha,Buddha N'Shrestha,Kc(nw10),D-Marcha,Nirnaya Da NSK,Gkaji,Santosh Sitaula,Sinis,Araj Keshav and so on...........
However it was the Rap Competition song by Suraj Shrestha of 9double7 with Jehova's(Spadix N Ace) N Bishow shrestha that gave them publictily with the collaboration on song title 'Nepali Bhayera Hera' which won $200 (Rs 15000) cash prize for Manifesto Challenge organised by WAVE mag with Samudaya.org. The Challenge was launched on 2005 to encourage Nepali hip-hop artistes to take their work more seriously so that it doesn't end up being just another trend. From all the songs that were submitted, 9Double7's song "Nepali Bhayera Hera" stood out as winner because of its powerful N tight lyrics,beat,flow and spirit.

Though Different media houses, TV channels, FM stations, newspapers, magazines etc. as we say media is selling only the fantasy life of Professionally known hip-hop stars,many are looking to learn from old school underground hip-hop n Nephop. This idea of provoking critical thinking was encouraged by WAVE and samudaya.org with The Manifesto Challenge where 9Double7 won Rs 15,000 cash prize.True Nep-hop artistes understand that hip-hop isn't just music.It's a culture,set of values and way of life..it speaks the reality..........
Suraj says....I have learned so many things since then...about hiphop music,challenges we faced,struggles,people n thier views towards nepalese rap songs music n 9double7.....till now I have recorded around 10 songs of my own n done some collaboration...with other nephop raappers n singers from Nepal and Nepalese abroad.....and even performed live in various stages shows,concerts,party(almost30)..radio shows(almost 6)....9double7 is also going to work with some international artist for thier music project.....and i m really happy and gratefull that 9double7"s songs has been apreciated by international arstists also. Within this 5 years I went through so many difficulties ...so many challenges,,, I never turned back and just did what I had to do..And after around 5 years today you can see 9 double 7 still working hard in music..still staying underground and still not goin to mainstream....I am really serious about my music.I work hard for my each n every songs.It almost took 1week,1 month and even 2 years for me to complete each song. I would like to thank each N everybody who've been with me all da time......YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.......Thanx for the team work, all the listeners who respect our music, cuz its you da people n da listeners who likes my music/songs....and da love n respect they have for 977...I appreciate it.....The credit goes to you all…...

What do you think about Nepali music scene?(in words of Lazyboi). i just liked it n posted here..
I think its moving forward really slow, you never know what turn its gonna take....I know a lot of talented people in nepal, who never even got chance to do anything with their talent, they want to do something but i dont know what is stopping them, the music companies? the media? i think people have to keep moving forward if they really want to get somewhere with their talent and share it with the rest of the world..now a days theres a lotta talented new singers but the trend is most of the companies dont even wanna sign them...that is not the way the companies should be... I personally think every people in this world deserve a chance and the companies should more look forward to signing more new artist so the nepalese music scene would expand all over the world.
