Congratz Gallery. My status updated to EAD card mailed yesterday. But no any updates to AP, I-130 and I-145. I have seen some of the guys who send their package in September are also scheduled for interview. Hope visa bulletin will not retrogress in F2A category for next couple of months. I am not sure if our files will now be forwarded to CSC/VSC or processed at NBC.

@ sabina! My priory date was on Aug. 13th. I applied on 1st week of august.
@ Haryo patta: Thank you for your reply. I am glad that I m getting my EAD card soon. I was so worried when they asked for RFE. I hope we would get an appointment soon for our interview. Do I still have to maintain my status even after getting work permit until I get my green card? Right now I am going to community college just to maintain my status and at the same time looking for job as well.

@ gallery : I am not a lawyer to provide you right advice. However, as far as my understanding from different forums, I assume you are eligible to work with EAD. That means you don't have to maintain F1 status. Your status should be I-485 pending. But I would still suggest you to maintain F1 status, just to be safe in case something goes wrong with approval of I-485. If you use EAD/AP then your status should change from F1 to I-485 pending. No more F1. This is just my personal view. Please do contact experienced immigration lawyer.

There is no change on my EAD and travel document but they have scheduled my interview on Nov. 14th. I filed my petition on Sept. 3rd . I hope everything will go as expected.

I wanted some info on filing:
I know the F2A status is not current now. But I need some info on filing GC for my spouse. We are both in US.
I am in GC and want to petition for my spouse for GC.
Could I file I-130 and I-485 together or I have to wait until my I-130 is approved and my priority date is current?
How long does it take for the I-130 to get approved since PD is not current?
Will my spouse get EAD after i file I-130 or I-485 and how long does it take?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

@info_needed, Your spouse should be in legal status at the time of filing and should keep maintaining her status. Your spouse will NOT get an EAD card, just filing I-130. You may file I-765 (for EAD) while you file I-485, but this option is not available to you at this moment, because you will not be able to file I-485. (I am NOT a lawyer.
