guys what are you talking about.....?
why are you making so big deal of MUJI.
In my country Japon muji is a Japanese retail company which sells a wide variety of household goods. MUJI is distinguished by its design minimalism, emphasis on recycling, avoidance of waste in production and packaging, and no-logo policy. Products range from pens, notebooks, and clothing for men and women to food items and major kitchen appliances. Its primary business includes Café MUJI, Meal MUJI, MUJI Campsite, florist and home furnishing; the company has recently taken steps into housing construction. The name MUJI is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryōhin, translated as No Brand

so i am curious why you people making fun of my muji. afterall it's is one of my favourite brand.

Saw this at the back of the visiting card from Hotel Utse (one fo the first Hotels to open up in Thamel when Freak St. was still the destination of choice for the tourists...A gamble that payed off BIG tyme).

Can't believe that they named the place with that name below...Man, some serious censorship needs to take palce in Ktm ala India (where they changed not the street names but entire citie names from Bombay to Mumbai and Calcutta to Kolkata, etc.).  hahaha

walkahead, yeah, I grew up in Thamel.  And the gullis of Jyatha was where we had numerous beef with outsiders who dared trespass into Thamel (heard the whole mentality has changed now...outsiders walk in and around Tahmel like they own it).  However, jyatha is a derogatory remark that was hurled by all I knew right from Jyatha Tol to the hills of Darjeeling!

I guess 'Jyatha' sounds eerily close to 'Jatha',  and I recall some of my friends used that instead of Jatha in front of girls to not sound vulgar (back then).

Dave C, I love that Tombstone pic--I also noticed this Jatho has been dead for 104 yrs!!
