garden state was brilliant and maria full of grace was also very powerful. one of my favorite movies of last year was 21 grams. that movie is one of the biggest dimag laai kharab garaune movies of all time! i mean, it totally messes with your head. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is another great, quirky, surreal movie that messes with your head. la, ramro sanga hernus......

The Last Emperor_____Had heard a lot about it and probably that's why it's still in circulation (after 16 years or so after its release) for rent amid the releases of newest movies on DVD. Watched it few months ago. Great movie, a true and the most accurate story of the last emperor of China. Covers the period between 1900 and 1967 in China when the emperor went through the transformation of life of an emperor of China from an emperor of China to living a life of a simple civilian after he is captured by China's victorious Mao's Maoist Red Army and "re-educated" in a prison for 11 years.

Oh yes, Palpali. I don't mind watching that movie again. Woody Allen movie are fun to watch. No one else mentioned sideways. Paul Giamatti is a great actor. He plays such as awesome role as a loser.

neta ji, I agree with you on that one. The Last Emperor is one of the best Burtolluci (sp?) movies, and quite authentic too. Based on "Twilight in The Forbidden City" by one of Pu Yi's (the last emperor) tutors. The best thing about the movie is that its shot in the Forbidden City. A remarkable movie.. tyassai 8 ota (i think its 8) Oscar jitcha ta? The movie deals with three periods of Chinese history: 1. The Imperial China 2. The Republican China (and the Japanese Invasion.. Manchu Guo) 3. The Communist China Yo filim herera ma Chinese history ko fan bhako.

i saw sideways. i did enjoy it, but thought it was a little overrated. i dug the movie in that i thought it was very real, very human. i mean, it was funny, sad, depressing, hopeful- very reflective of life. but didn't quite live up to the expectations based on all the positive media attention. great acting though! i also really liked as good as it gets. that's a few years older, but still a great one!

Samjhana..was jus a classic heart wrenching tale! kudos to those who still remember it. I haven't watched a better nepali movie than samjhana all these years, and the songs still rock! Beautiful Mind's ending sure did trigger the eyes after John Nash's speech. i still like the artistic and poignant tone of 'a river runs through it'

Oh thanks president.. eheh, jhukki raa, eheh... jaad nakhaada yesto haalat cha :P >>eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is another great, quirky, surreal movie that messes with your head. la, ramro sanga hernus...... Palpali, all the movies written by Charlie Kauffman mess up your head... Hard to get in, but once in, they are hard to get outta your head. beside Eternal, try Confessions of a dangerous mind (one of my all time favs.), Adaptation, Being John Malckovich, Human Nature. Back to Anokha Bandhan, yeah yeah, that fattie eheh, he gets stuck between the branches of the tree right??? ehehe... kolle pitcha pani, and he still keeps on eating mangoes... :) Indisguise, kasto yaad dilaayo yaar tyo movie.. eh.. I first watched that movie like 20 years after the movie was released... tyo pani India ma.. and the hype before the entering the movie theater ke bhanne, eheh... my sister goes "Gabbar lai Killai Killa ko jutta le marcha... ehehe"... waited 3 hours for Gabbar to die... awesome movie. :P **** Also, watched "House of the flying daggers"... awesome movie, kyaa colorful and mindblowing action... eheh... super time pass... laat - ghussa - talbaar -- bunch of twists and almost messed up ending ... jhandai the movie had become "house of flying draggers"... eh... echo game... dayummm!!! How the hell they do those stunts.... eh... Everything couldn't be CGI effect.. eh.
