Why NRNs are adamant about dual citizenship when India and China are prospering without dual citizenship granted to NRIs and NRCs returning to their country? They just allow residency. 
Does these NRN wanted to capture all government jobs? Aren't there lots of other areas to develop in Nepal? Do they want to be a politician one day?

When Nepal government announced " Nepali Green Cards" for NRNs, verry few applications were received for the NRN card. This explains that most NRNs do not care about entry/reentry into Nepal crap. These are some of the motives i have observed from NRNs and its supporters.

1. Getting Nepali citizenship for possible state leadership.

2. Saving fixed properties and inheritence from their siblings and relatives. Once Nepali citizen denounces Nepali Citizenship, the government consficates their property.

3. Corrupts of Nepal such as " kala bazari & Chor Neta" want to find a proper channel to transfer their black money into the first world for their children and themselves.

4. There are also few people who want security for their honest earned assets back home and would like to find a way to bring it over to the first world. But they do not really need a dual citizenship to move their assets.

NRN is nothing but ANA on steroid. And most people already know what ANA is all about. It would be stupid to assume NRN doing any good for Nepal and Nepali.

I know it totally makes sense for NRNs to ask for dual citizen but  lets talk about why a Nepali Citizen, who has the power to vote YES or NO to a dual citizenship should Vote for the NRNs with the motivations listed above for dual citizenship? Why should Nepali Citizens fight for NRNs to get the dual citizenship? What is their incentive in it?

I simply do not see any benefit for the country or the countrymen in it. Lets not spread the crap of investment oppurtunity. The richest couple men abroad are already investing in Nepal. Rest of the so called Rich Nepali are worth 1 - 5 million with some gas station ownership and few small businesses. I do  not see any potential in these people to make a slightest impact in Nepali Economy. The risk of losing property for Nepal is higher than what it can get as investment.

i favor AGAINST NRNs. if you want to be citizen of nepal, simply keep your citizenship. if you want to be citizen of another country, then the person is rejecting his nepalese citzenship.
it is hard for nepalese to trust a person who have decided to give up his nepali citizesnhip for some other countries.
simply say no to NRNs. they will raise the tax property in nepal and will monopolize busnesss in nepal if granted dual citizesnhip.
in the end, nepalese are the one to suffer not opportunistic NRN individual.

 Where is there a khuta tanne here? It is all a debate for and against dual citizen. Even if they get dual citizen, I doubt how many will come forward to take ? How many of NRN have that NRN card first before advocating for dual citizen?

American citizen need visa to go to other countries too. Check the net.
NRN card allows 10 years visa so where is the hassle for 10 years? For all other countries with your US citizen, you won't have travel problem. 

FYI Nepal give Bridha Vatta once you reach 65 or 75. Rs 800 a month. You NRN want that? :)

If we're having a good debate here, I am game. If you just want to bitch, count me out.

So far, other than the point I myself presented against the dual citizenship, I haven't heard one good reason why it shouldn't be allowed.

@sidster, you do make some points. Of the points listed only point 2 applies to the majority who are advocating for dual. If I wanted to run for a leadership position in Nepal, I wouldn't leave Nepal or denounce my citizenship. As for point 2, that's a legit reason. If somebody has inheritance and wants to get dual citizenship, why would it boil your blood for him to be able to claim his property?

American citizen need visa to goto another country. Sure. I will give you a homework. See what it takes to visit Paris with Nepali passport and US passport.

you misinterpreted the law. you have to renounce U.S citizenship voluntarly while taking another citizenship. but that is not what dual citizenship mean. dual citizenship does not make you rnounce your other citizenship and that is the whole point. Just by taking another citizenship u won't lose ur U.S citizenship but you have to officially or Intentionally renounce by conduct or legal statement. for eg: u can't except to keep your U.S citizenship and join Nepal Army that conflicts your citizenary rights and responsibilities. according to you once u choose Nepali citizenship u'll automatically lose U.S citizenship which is incorrect. if what u said was right then there wouldn't be millions of American holding other passports in the US , according to you, technically they all have lost their U.S citizenship when they became a dual citizen then.

What is the use of dual citizen for NRN besides inheritance? USA does not encourage dual citizen. There is a lot of complication arise with it. Search the net for that.

Well said, NRN are traitors most of them who were born in Nepal and acquired citizenship of other countries. I have lived abroad too and I was shocked when 80% of the Nepalese talked ill about Nepal. My own countrymen told me how would I live in Nepal. They told me Nepal is no less than a slum (pollution, corruption, load shedding etc. etc). Everybody have their right to live their own life, but saying such things about the country where your ancestors come from and where you were born is ridiculous.

Coming to the topic above protecting NRN, Second class citizen is always second. You will always be treated badly someday no matter what you do for that country. The natives of that country will have the final say and it will be something like this "Get out you foreigners". Therefore I urge all those Nepalese people come back to your country, and make your own country , your country needs you.
all students, asylum, refugees, illegal return home. don't live in america to pursue false dream. wake up to reality. new nepal need educated people to serve, contirbute to nations' building. let's get rid of old nepali system and create new nepal with better, just , equal system for all.

 Will Nepali politicians consult India and China Japan before granting dual citizen ? Or will they they consult European countrie?
