It's here... almost...

Raju, Nima, Sindhu, Tsering, Mingma and Mongolian Heart. Arrived only this afternoon from Kathmandu Nepal, via Vienna, Austria - tired but darn excited to be amongst the best Nepali crowd in the whole wide world.

Programs are all set. Tickets are almost sold out. Artists are quite tired but.... READY.

well I was there in the concert.. I didn't really enjoy it.. but ppl they did enjoy it.. I saw lots of ppl enjoyin the concert.. Well I really don't like the concert all coz there was not a perfect combination between the drum and the lead guitar.. I didn't really hear the lead couple of times...

WEll seriously I didn't enjoy it.. I had a head ache.. and I am not lying... a gal next too meh was in the same condition.. I never saw her.. before and C was cute too.. ehehe!!!!!!!!

I am not a kind of person who like pop music.. But One thing for sure... thanks alot for HImalayan concert for bringing lots of nepalese people out there in the concert...... I never saw this huge crowd of nepalese people before......... over here in New York...

Well I didn't like the tibetian singer all coz he didn't speak even a single nepali word.. he didn't say what he is singing in nepali.. at least he should have said that and said that he is bla bla.. and he is going to sing bla bla.. song...

One question??? Is he doing concert for the first time........ I think so........ Well I haven't seen any singer or artist performing in that way.......

Once again.. I don't know weather I'll see that cute gal once again or not.... haha!!!!!!!!

My $40 wasn't worth that much for the concert.. and one thing the food that I ate over there made mah stomach worst yesterday.......

WEll the songs sang by raju lama mero nepal ..... was nice....
mingma did a good job yesterdasy by attracting people alot.......
MOst of the people liked the performance of MIngma.. as far As I know........ NOne of the people seemed to be satisfied by the performance of SinDHu.. MAlla

Overhall, The concert was great. I myself enjoyed a lot. Ticket was expensive , but there were a lot people, though. I came to know that many people went back home. They did not sell tickets after 11pm. organizer claimed that tickets were sold out. Therefore, they announced another live concert on December 23, 2006 again. I hope this time ticket might be cheaper since many people were saying that ticket is expensive. ANyway, they rocked the New York

I have to admit my jaw dropped when I saw the $40 tag on tickets. With that much money, on top of concert, they should serve beer, 10 course meal and, yeah, couple of lap dance by the Time Square hookers. Just kidding. But seriously, wouldn't $20, even $10, ticket price make more sense? Just rent a bigger hall and you will have more people showing up. I think you can make more money by volume, like McDonalds.

By the way, how much do each of these artists make on each show?

this was the worse concert i have ever seen, last yr concert was way way much better than this time, music system suc(kss, even the fu(king organizer suckss atleast there suppose to give some food beecause they took fu(cking $ 40,last time there was good food but we paid like $35 only, even they didnt let us go to front and dance, that told us only after half time we will be allowed to dance on front, that was not a comedy show or drama just to sit down on chair and watch.

raju lama and nima was alright but sindhu malla she suc(kss, she dont have any good song or what, only the remix song was good

the person who was selling food that mufu r will go to hell, he take like $7 for just chiwara and achar some ghain lagado noddle

at last i will like to say that the concert was good waste of $ 40, i think more than 80% didnt like the concert because it was worse than last time

hey ssny did u really enjoy the show i dont think so

I was at the Himalayan live concert last year as well as this one.Last year the hall was jammed and the concert ROCKED.This year there were some technical difficulties but the first half was out of track. It got better in the second half but it was so so.
I was at both the concert at ANA too and in my opinon
Himalayan live concert last year-excellent
Okely/Haris ANA-excellent
Mukti ANA-very good
Himalayan live concert this year;
Mingma Sherpa -A+,Nima rumba-A+,tsering-A+,raju Lama-A,Sindhu malla-D(Can I go further below?)
I missed the 1974 AD.

Having something or other to do with all the past concerts, about which you asked above, and the recent Himalayan Live Concert, I may be bias when I say they were all excellent. But, again, I am always practicing what I preach, and that is, “It’s up to you to have fun”. And as you can see in the pictures and the short video clip above, many were exactly doing just that – having a whole lot of fun by singing together with the artists and dancing like crazy, in a good way.

Now, just a few things about the Himalayan Live Concert 2006.

If you’re in the US, you know how you felt when you first got here…. And I’m referring to Jet Lag. To some, it takes days before you start feeling normal.

Nine artists had flown into New York only on Friday, November 24. The next day they were to perform. Imagine how they were feeling. Since around 3 pm most of them were saying how sleepy they were. And in most sincere defense of Sindhu Malla, it wasn’t only jet lag but also the fact that she was under the weather – with a bad cold, she was sitting in a corner of the dressing room, drinking hot water and quiet.

I had dinner with all the artists yesterday, and at 9:00 p.m., two had their heads already on the table, not being able to stay awake. Sindhu was fighting hard to stay awake and left soon after dinner – to hit the bed.

So, under the circumstances, all I want to say is, they performed very well. And needless to say, I had a blast.

jetlag is not a good excuse. the organizers should have thought about it
