i follow the trackitt.com site , and have seen a trend where TSC is processing 485 in 3-4 months, and a lot of discussion by people that NSC is still processing case from june-july even thought the uscis webiste shows the processing time for both around the same. i wonder why my employer said NSC is faster.

How long have you guys been working before filing GC? I started in beginning of 2011. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who is without GC working for more than 3 years.

@mancini

I've worked since 2013 after finishing school. My H1b did not get picked in the lottery, which turned out to be great now.

Hi,

Was you wife in Nepal? Because my lawyer is saying that I can only file for my wife after my I-485 is approved. Not before that.
Please let me know.

Yes, He is correct. If your wife is in Nepal, She will be eligible only after your i-485 approval

They cashed my check (for i-485) 1 week ago. But, We haven't received receipt notice yet which makes me little bit worried. FedEx shows that the documents were delivered to TX on 16th November and after 5 days, they cashed the check.
Is it normal?

@Sajha keto

Normally you should get receipt by 2 weeks after checks are cashed. There was thanksgiving holiday in between so I would wait for a week more. Hopefully you get it by then. If not, I would call and check with USCIS (fdpower bro will kill me for saying that lol).

I got an update on i485 application today for EAD and AP.

Application sent: 11/03/2016 (i140-premium and i485 concurrent filing)
Receipts for i485, EAD and AP: 11/11/2016
i140 approved: 11/22/2016
EAD and AP card produced: 12/01/2016

I was under the impression that biometrics happens before they produce EAD and AP. But, I did not get biometrics appointment. Maybe they were able to use my TPS biometrics.

Sajha keto

Call them. Notice may have been lost in mail or something like that. It happened to me once. I called them, and they gave me the receipt number on the phone.

@Sajha Keto,
Did you check with your lawyer? USCIS sent one copy to lawyer and other to me. But in my fren's case, they only sent to lawyer.
