Former king holds consultations on 'baby king' Former king Gyanendra Shah has started consultations with relatives from India and close aides in Nepal on strategies of enthroning the 'baby king', Nepal Samacharpatra daily reported. Shah met three Indian relatives in presence of his close aides Pashupati Bhakta Maharjan, Dr Phanindra Raj Pathak, Madhusudhan Timilsina and Sagar Timilsina at his Nirmal Niwas residence Thursday evening. The discussion was based on 'baby king,' the daily reports quoting Nirmal Niwas sources. The former king's aides had advised him on how he could make his grandson the king. The identity of the relatives from India was not disclosed. Shah recently returned from a month-long visit to India where he attended a family wedding and met top Indian leaders. Maoist leaders had dubbed the former king's India visit as a ploy to establish the 'baby king.' Earlier this week, a previously unheard of Singaporean woman Angella Cheng claimed to have high influences in Nepal's politics and revealed her plans to enthrone the baby king. nepalnews.com Apr 04 09

Secondly, I've been listening to Nepali news for quite some time and
what I have seen is: every time politicians or political activists
(especially maoist and madhesis) commit crime and administration takes
action against them, they have excellent EXCUSE. "I am innocent. This is politically motivated step to defame me".
I still tell you organise a rally and shown the politician you are not happy with them. And i request all the people who are not happy with the politician to join your cause.....

So far no one has been able to lead the country well.
The maoists have been given a golden opportunity. I hope they make a good outcome of it and the nation has gone through too many changes. For the monarchy to come back, it is unthinkable and unimaginable at the moment in time.
Maybe 50 years later it might be a good idea to reinstate constitutional monarchy

Democratic. Whatever........We know Maoist are the reason behind killing of 13000 people. If there was no maoist there would have been no killing. Don't try to justify killing. Even when they kill 100 people they are wrong. And all those killings for what? Did we see any progress? NO infact we are going in the opposite direction. Worse thing is Maoist have given rise to the culture of impunity even for crime as serious as murder. They have blatantly awarded killer of Ram hari shrestha. YCL are proving bunch of goons.There have not been an effort to control this government funded goons. These maoist are bheda and so are their supporters like Democrat. No matter how you say you are against it. Maoit killied the teacher, cut their head in front of student, maoist burnt 40 people alive in bus including women and children.. Infact the crime of maoist are not forgivable.
