Just so you all know, Sachindra Nepal, the cab driver who was arrested for raping an 18-year-old girl in Ocean City, Maryland, was found guilty on ALL 5 accounts of rape and sexual assault yesterday in court. He is now in a State prison and will be deported back to Nepal as soon as possible as part of his sentence.

And to all of you who thought the "ocean city sluts" were to blame for this matter, well, let's thank God that the jury did NOT agree with you.

I agree with wit u SWATAN,
After 9-1-1, lot of things have changed and are still changing.
I believe it was not a rape but just a casual sex but whom to tell? and Who listens?
After all i am also a brown skinned immigrant.

Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) - Cite This Source
rape1 /reɪp/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[reyp] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, raped, rap·ing.
–noun 1. the unlawful compelling of a woman through physical force or duress to have sexual intercourse.
2. any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person.
3. statutory rape.

I searched the meaning of rape and this is what i got. case 1. and 2. requires force to be used. case 3 requires the victim to be underage. however in sachindra's case none of the three cases fit since force was not used as there was no restraint and the girl was over 18.
It bothers me when the creator of this thread comes to our family forum and brags that Nepali Rapist has been convicted. I would rather argue that the girl was taken advantage of but not raped. taken advantage of the situation that she put herself in. nobody but herself. had she been prudent enuf not to lose her senses that situation would have never arisen.
Similar thing happened to me eight months ago in a club here in Addison TX. College nite thursday, the club was closing and me n my fren were parking lot pimping when i saw a girl outside. I went to her and asked whether she wanted to hang out with us. She said okay n jumped into my Pearl White Lexus. See what happened that white girl passed out over my basketball that was in my backseat. i freaked out that she died. we carried her body to my apt. n slowly she began to move. good god. n then my fren left coz it was really late. she began talking. i gave her some water n she went inside the bathroom n came out n jumped into my bed fully clad with stiletto shoes on.
Next day i wake her up coz it was time for me to go to work. she wakes up n she has no phone no money on her. i let her use my phone to call someone for a ride or call a cab. she said she doesn't have money for the cab. she was willing to have sex but i chose not to. i drove her all the way 35 miles to Plano. her parents had a nice house in an upscale neighborhood. when she left she game me her no.
Not all the stories have happy ending. Such was Sachindra's case. I believe he was a victim of circumstances. One year in federal prison is excessive for that mistake. He should be just deported. He came to the US seeking opportunity but turned out to be too much of an opportunist. So we should punish him by barring him from this country of opportunity. That should suffice for his mistake.
So I ask Jenna to appeal to the Courts to lessen his sentence coz in this case both of them have to share the blame.
Jenna, I assume u to be a white girl. why do these things and date rapes happen to only white girls. not hispanics. not blacks.
I am not racist but i do look at statistics.

Eastsidaz you are twisting words. You would have screaming for the guy's head if god forbid - if he were a Caucasian and the girl a Nepali.

Non consensual sex is rape - period. It can happen to both men and women. An woman was recently convicted and sentenced to prison in Bergen Norway for this (guys gets drunk passes out and she blows him up).

First of all it was not a date rape, And second date rape happens to everyone.

There are and will be bad apples everywhere, if someone is a Nepali, it doesn't mean that, he will lead totally blameless life and is guilt free or innocent.

He got what he deserved and good riddance to him. He deserves to be lined against a wall and shot or better yet - drawn and quartered and scattered around, along with that stupid Nepali Pedophile. What a bunch of idiots. I am against death penalty in principal, but rapist and pedophiles - they need to be eliminated from the gene pool.

Having seen very closely how a rape can affect the life of a girl for ever after the incident, I have a pretty strong feeling about it.

Same thing happend to one guy in AUSRALIA when he picked up the girl form bar.Next morning she accused him of rape and he got 12 years. He is still in silverwaterjail in Sydney.
Like eastsidaz said why do these things happens to white girl, may be we nepalese should be thinking 100 times before having sex with white girls and guys do not make out first time for sure.

As far as I have been able to tell, the problem with most South Asian men is that once a girl looks at them, they start to think it is the come to the bed look. Quite easy to miss the signals and the line can get crossed :-), especially if you have a few pints.

Didn't see any Nepali being accused of raping a girl in England and people (Nepali) used to pick up girls all the time at the bar.

People seem to have all sort of conspiracy theory that Western women want to see us poor Nepali in jail all the time :-).

Cheers

Bratboy, I reread my posting and i was not twisting words, i was just analyzing the case and trying to relate to a situation i was so close. i am not saying that the person is innocent, but ' a rape charge' and a year in fed pen is excessive. i was not in the jury so i am not aware of all the details but in light of the information provided in this forum and myself being a college grad who knows what is right and what is wrong, came with that opinion.
And u brought race into this case. I have never heard a nepali girl passing out so an analogy is inappropriate. If it were a white guy n a white girl my stance would still be the same. In any case I am not defending that guy i am just analyzing the case at hand. Like u said life of a girl changes after rape. Thats so true. You brought the term pedophile in this case. I am saying that those terms are far away from this case. If the girl was made drunk by the guy or if the guy had used physical force then a rape charge would seem fitting but in this case none of that happened.
Brat boy u said about south asians and come to the bed look. i have found that south asians think ten times before approaching a girl contrary to white hispanic n black who go banging into every girl.
And again, i am surprised why this kinda case and date rape happen to only white girls.
Am i missing something.

This case was all about credibility and the convict was not as credible as the accuser. The COMMON LAW justice system is based on facts but facts can be overshadowed by smart lawers and seemingly credible wittnesses. Our society has been so brain washed that if we see a brown/black guy accused of a crime --- his credibilitry is already low. Now when you consider that a lot of these students in OC were working illigally --- credibility goes down further. In a rape case, where the accused thought that he was having a consensual sex but the "victim" thought otherwise ... well it is a he said seh said scenerio and credibility counts far more than FACTS.

The racism in criminal system in the US exist and we can't deny that ...

Why do you think the story you heard is accurate? Yes she was intoxicated, but that doesn't excuse anything. She would be pressing charges no matter what his race was. And what exactly do you mean is she being punished? She was RAPED. She is devastated. I call that punishment. She's probably punishing herself everyday.

Eastsidaz, Why do you think that the one year in fed pen is excessive - do you think they should have given him a medal and a cash prize instead for taking advantage of an intoxicated girl? It is a rape - non consensual sex whether it happens in marriage bed or outside is rape - and he got what he deserved. They should have locked him up and thrown away the key, or better yet hanged him then drawn and quartered him.

You are the one who brought race into the topic, not me. You implied these sort of things happen only to white women not to others, I was simply trying to throw back the same logic to you by providing an analogy.

You are bit disillusioned if you think it doesn't happen to Nepali/Asian/Hispanic/insert your race here girls. You don't hear about it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. The girl in question had the courage to go to the authority - that's why you heard about it. Sadly many rape victims never do that. It is even more problematic in honour based Asian societies where rape is a stigma and reflects badly on the victim rather than the one who did the deed. So many of these cases get unreported.

The girl was drunk, the guy forced himself on her without her consent. That's rape - get over it. To rape someone doesn't mean that you have to make her drunk or slip her chloral hydrate in her drink by yourself.

By your own definition of rape he did rape her (forcing himself on her).

If you think that it happens to only while girl then go and work for a while with the people who work with abused women - you will see what I mean.

Bratboy, read my post carefully i said he should be sent back home. since he is an opportunist banishing him from the land of opportunities is good enuf. the reason for my reservation about his prison time is that fed pen is for criminals and from the info i have found so far i am having hard time convincing myself that he is a criminal. if it were to be a crime then i would put it as a petty crime. i wanna make sure my intention is not to offend u but u are getting too emotional. u mentioned those terms like medal n things. lets become logical.
Being grown up in a conservative society i mite have felt uncomfortable about gurl being drunk to unconsciousness, but still i think i have mingled in this society pretty well as yet. i am under the impression that the girl was not resisting nor did she tell him to stop. if the girl was not drunk, my perspective on this case would be completely different. if someone has better knowledge what really happened then please enlighten me. Tagging someone a Rapist is not a small feat. The accused persons life gets destroyed as well. I am not defending anyone but i just wanna make a few things clear for myself.
I had been through a similar situation just that i did not get physical. If that girl continues that behavior she will not always be as fortunate as she was with me. in this case i am glad that the girl went to seek legal help. i agree the girl was taken advantage of but the girl should share the blame as well.
Bratboy, when Kobe took advantage of that receptionist she was not even drunk but he did not go to fed pen. the girl was white again.

It saddens me that so many responses are commenting on how the victim is white, or lessening Sachindra's responsibility. No one is trying to say that Nepali people are bad. RAPISTS are bad. Thank you to those of you who are showing support to the victim.

"No one is trying to say that Nepali people are bad", so you think Nepali people are bad. In that case, looking back at Timothy McVeigh, do you also think American people are killers?

Swatragamy I agree with you. Along that line, the Unabomber went to Harvard...

Anyway, here is the reason for me to pop up here again.

Does anyone know if there is a minimum age requirement to get into a Alcohol Rehab Center?
Now that Sachindra is gone behind bars, he can't really rape another woman while inside. On the other hand, the incarcerated bitches inside are waiting to get to his sweet virgin ass.
Now here is a scenario, what if the same girl who successfully managed to throw Sachindra into the jail, gets drunk again and is provided a ride and get laid again after playing hard-to-get for a few moments. And the next day, she prosecutes and gets the guys imprisoned quite successfully.

How long can she continue doing that before she gets to attend the Alcohol Rehab?
She is only contributing to making some lawyers somewhere a little richer everytime. I seriously doubt if she even received some rebuke for under-age drinking let one put on probation.

May justice be served to all irrespective of a suspect's background or personal clout.
Thanks for reading.
