Loote bro,

looks like we are on the same boat.

It's kinda monotonous for working on same stuffs from 9 to 5:30. As most of the jobs are kinda monotonous (but not always), I have been doing the stuffs for years now and sometimes I feel kinda tired. But its immensely pleasing at times to realize that no one had done it before, and YES, I DID IT
(for example: Dear XYZ,
We are pleased to inform you that your manuscript, "a b c d", has been accepted for publication in WRR! )

And, jhimik jhimik to you sndy (as Camo bro said)

Yeah, that's reality of this land of oppurtunities. Not only time, there are many other things missing in life here.
By the way, how long have you been in "Harmika", sndy ?

well,
satisfaction depends upon what are all your prioirities in life. two persons A and B may be doing same job and while A may be happy/satisfied, B does not necessarily have to be.

1) An exciting job that pays you a lot of money.
2) Job is exciting/challenging but the pay is not all that great.
3) Not so exciting but monotonous work that pays you lot of money that you deserve/expect.
4) none :P

people who have high motives and desires for money will definitely get satisfaction from 1 and 3. what kind of work satisfies you, regardless of the money you're getting is THE question that is to be answered in my humble opinion.

personally speaking, i have always believed that money is NOT what you should be working for, it should always be a secondary treasure, first being the work itself. if you pursuit for work that satiates your hunger, i would say you are lucky and hence happy.

publish a paper, or work 8-5 in your small cubicle browsing sajha, doesn't really matter :P

chhoti muh badi baat :P

Such as "ideal" does only exist for short-term.

As of now, my ideal job would be watching Indian squad hammering Pakis all over the ground!

In my opinion, job satisfaction is more important compared to money when you have to choose among the jobs. If you are happy wiith what ever you are working on and you are satisfied, that's it. Then only comes the money. If the job (you are satisfied with) that satiates your and the family's hunger, I would say you are lucky and hence happy.
...just a personal view tho..

Sndy,
it's been 3 yrs since I left Nepal but I am kinda new bird on the land of oppurtunities...just couple of months..

Flippy,
Are you talking about dream job? coz you won't get to see your dream job turning into reality that often. :P

The Job and I are playing Seesaw since we met each other. Sometimes the job is up and she feels that I am not an ideal person and when I am up, I feel the job is not ideal to me. Sometimes we come in between up and down to balance each other.

I don't know how many times I have made her happy but every other fridays she makes me happy :-)

hehe flippu.. no no you didn't commit any crime; you can dream as much as you want. :)
I didn't turn into Jotishi (but I do have some interest in palmistry) .. I am happy with my job and don't have any intention to sit around Ratna Park with a mat :P

India Vs Pak games are rare and most of the time, Pak gets into winning seat (except it's in world cup). So, my predictions were based on past records, not JOTISHI BIDHYA.

Hello Girls, have you ever experienced that your female collegues are hard to get along then male collegues at new work place ? Geez why??

Aaaaaaaahhhhhh, yesterday was the super boring day at work..I am still new to this place. But I was doing ok. Ben and Allan my work collegues were away yesterday. I had this philpino middle age collegue working next to me and I hate her philipino American accent. !!She was like so grumpy whole day yesterday..It could be she had to log a job for me. She is so full of herself...Could be coz she started a month earlier than me..I hate her sometimes. I know she is older than me and I should respect her but she puts me down often..

I was like trying to talk to her. Asking her what happened and she was like nothing.. What ever .
This morning was better. The guys are back at work today..I had little bit a laugh in the morning. So feeling better now. I definately needs to be little proactive at work I guess. May be I should be doing some short courses online.. Like MCP or Cisco.. Lets see.But Sajha is here to cheer me up anyway..
