HAHAHA...I don't understand why you are parroting the same old stuffs gazillion times. It's not even funny. As I said in the other thread, Obama did not support the point based system, true, but that's just for a momentary cause which is to legalize the thousands of illegal immigrants. Now if you go by the point based system, you won't be able to abide by the regulations of the comprehensive immigration plan and legalize those blue collar bunches, can you? You can't be asking two contradictory things at the same time--that's hypocrisy.

He never said he is against the H1-b workers, true-- he had shown concern over native Americans losing jobs to immigrants which in a way is true with the mushrooming Indian consultancies, but that was more than a year ago and at that time he was trying to weaken Hillary campaign fund base, a major part of which was Indian companies--cisco employees. Indians have had close ties with Clintons since Bill's era in the 90's.  Bill himself had invested $$$ in indian bill payment companies and hence Clintons' soft corner for the Indian H1-Bs. I don't think there is a major deviation of Obama's stance from Hillary's on immigration plan except for on few things like providing driver's license for the immigrants which Obama has been supporting zealously. Both democrats have high regards for immigrant workers and I don't think skilled immigrants' cause will be jeopardized if either of them is elected. Please come out of the fear that Obama will barricade the influx of H1-B workers if he wins the presidency-- that's not gonna happen.

Man, everytime I listen to him talking, it raises my hair. Motivation and inspiration....a leader certainly need those qualities, and Obama has that. Screw experience. You need a potential and an inspiring figure in a leader and that's what matters in the end.

I knew it....only a matter of time before the nepricans started shaping up the political future of the US..I had mentioned that in another thread as well....just watching/reading and devouring what the media 'selectively' filters out to influence your medulla oblongata ..and we are political pundits all of a sudden

What if you can vote, should you be involved in politics? I mean that's how this great nation was build, isn't it? Unlike in Nepal where you go to the voting station, your name is already been used by someone to vote. If you raise your voice, you get bloooody beaten like hell, ballot box being blown up.
I do agree if you're someone who cannot vote, it's quite funny to be so passionate about American politics. Having a general understanding is different Vs coming to Sajha, copy pasting and wasting your time arguing with each other repeating the same phrases from CNN..
I've stayed away writing about the election here at Sajha since I'm fine with local blogs to vent my frustrations and looking to join org that want to abolish primary from my state. jeez...i don't understand what's wrong in harboring views on american politics even if you cannot vote. the way democracy works here in the US is a model for the rest of the world and it takes only a cynic, if not a stupid, to think that it's worthless to have an opinion on politics and on myriad other issues here in the US or elsewhere for that matter coz it doesn't have direct impact (does have some impact in the long term though or on personal upbringing to say the least) on 'nepricans'.

Actually Obama and Hillary have the same stance on every issue. They are both for immigration reform, universal

\healthcare, pulling the troops out of Iraq, making college affordable etc. The only difference is Obama portrays

himself as a populist leader, immune to special interest groups and lobbyists. On the flip side Clinton images

herself as an experienced candidate and tries to downplay Obama as a rookie who will melt under pressure from

McCain when the General Elections come around.

THATS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE.
