Ashu,

I have not seen or talked to Ashu for more than five years.

I came across your picture in Nepal Times, possibly the latest one.

You wears specs now. The mesio-distal, supero-inferior, lateral- verticle, dimention of your forehead has increased.

The chronological factor seemed to have taken some toll.

Could not tell by the size of picture if you have gray hair or not.

Seemed to have put on significant weight.

Ashu,

The distinguished-look, huh! Mrs. must be feeding you quite well!!

I had also noticed the change of picture in Nepali Times.

BTW, Mr. Vaidya seems to have carved himself nice little niche market dealing with bio-technology. Kudos to him. I had actually visited his place in Bhaisepati as he was just starting out. I was quite impressed even then.

Obviously, I did not consider the consequences when I posted that. I was just amused by the changes I saw in the photograph.

Ashu,

I apologize for the comments I made and regret it deeply. I did not mean to harm you in any way.

I have promised to myself not to talk about person anymore in public domains.

It would have been better if I had sent you an email, instead of posting here in Sajha.

Sirish,

That's OK.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

Fortunately, because of our extensive 'sangat' in Boston,
you know me well enough to know that I like to take my
work seriously without ever taking myself seriously.

That said, we all need to laugh at our own selves
from time to time, for doing so keeps us emotionally healthy.

Ashu mania had taken a back seat for a bit - long time coming indeed!

Ashu,
Are we supposed to be content with your NT jottings from now on or what?
You have been a tad sparing with your incisive Sajha write-ups of late.
Busy with life's other priorities perhaps. Either that or I have been away from Sajha for far too long.

Good to see you again, mate!
Ps: The quote mugshot unquote does retain its customary charm! So dispair not - thanks to your good lady.

Shirish,
Your 'hair' story is pretty hairy-scary! :-) Oh the incompetent barbers (hair-dressers rather - I am trying to be correct here politically!) - some of them do show a big whack of ego floating about them, I must admit!

****
The elusive one, ol chap, the Pimpernel Scary Scarlet, Amazing,

You have a happy hair day all,

Here's to the gloriously aging, balding ones.
Oh whatever happened to the great mane of the bushy, curly locks and wavy hair! Mine is as wavy as Hugh Grant's. Ahem. :-)

Take care all - happy weekend.
Carpe diem
