Is it true or just a rumor that GAutam Buddha was born in India instead of being born in Nepal. I just have been hearing this shittt from Indians that Budhha was born in India.....hope that's not the truth but anyway I am pretty sure that's a fuc.... big ass lie in the face of Nepalese people...

There is a small circumstantial debate about this topic. When Gautam Buddha was born there wasn't "Nepal" as we know now and neither "India". Both countries were divided into several "Rajya". It is only in fitting if we ask, "Where Gautom Buddha was born with regard to today's political boundary?" and the answer is " Nepal". India is false in every aspect in this matter. Archeological surveys have proved that Gautom Buddha was indeed born in current day Lumbini Nepal.

hey i just recentry read this article doubting if gautam buddha was born in nepal or was born in india....i will tell u the truth....
the truth is that.......Lumbini was once upon a time ,a provincial area of INDIA !!! n abt 2500 yrs, was the time when it was in the provincial area of INDIA ! so, wht i meant to say is that, though Lumbini comes under the territory of NEPAL at this current age, but was actually an area occupied by India..
ok so this much..the one who wrote this article, plz dunn be so upset ok....since Lumbini is now under the territory of NEPAL...... ! ciao

Sadly there are no such laws for claiming something as long as military action is not taken. We can claim "Krishna" was born in Nepal too (just an example) as long as we can present some evidences. In Buddha's case, both India and Nepal have viable evidence that's why its an issue. Anyway, all I have to say to those Indians "DE-Nile is NOT just the river flows in Egypt".

I understand what you are saying, but the truth is India as we know was established only after British rule. Before that it has been ruled by many dynasties with numerous "Rajya".

The biggest misconception India has is the philosophic contradiction of Buddha's word. Buddha was atheist (didn't believe in gods and praying in front of statues), while Indian claims Buddha as a reincarnation of lord Bishnu. Now you be the judge. And there is a whole different scenario of worshiping Buddha as god, which again contradicts his beliefs. I can explain but it will take some time.

Anyways, Buddha was born in Nepal. End of story. Even international communities has recognized Nepal as the birth place of Buddha. Only India is claiming the other way.

siddharta gautam was born in nepal....but he did his meditations and then he became "buddha" in India...So think watever u may.....BUT DON'T ARGUE ABOUT IT!!!
