Prashant Tamang gets the highest vote in Indian Idol history

Yes, this is very true statement and news. Prashant Tamang gets a very high percentage and numbers of votes in the history of Indian idol. He is a record holder for votes and ofcourse a lucky contestant ever too. Among 15 lakhs votes, he got half of the votes only for himself alone. Among 3 parts of votes, 1 part vote comes for him.

He has a great vocal which impressed many girls and made sure that he is a next Indian idol. This makes him that even he has a great female fan follower. He is currently working as a police officer so he has a great support from police officer from all over the India. And another important support for him is from his local living home city Darjeeling. He is from Darjeeling and many people votes him for his win. Everyone from there wants him to be safe and win the final race. From every home, he gets thousands of votes. They made charities to buy the voting cards, mobile prepaid charges, etc. they don’t sleep the whole night just to vote Prashant Tamang. They want to see him as a next Indian idol and make proud to all the Nepali.

He has a great support from Nepal too. People from Nepal also votes for him. People from Nepal are go, goes and will continue going to India and buys the new Indian sim cards and votes for him. Some Nepal’s organization has collected the great amount of money and sent to Darjeeling just to buy the voting coupons, recharge cards and to cover other expenses to vote Prashant Tamang.

This is what making him a lucky and a recoed holder contestant of Indian Idol history. I hope this will continue and he will surely win the finals too. He is sure the next Indian idol for me if the situation goes on running same like till date.

Every Nepali wants him to see as a next Indian Idol. After all even he is from a Nepali origin. He is Tamang. Tamang are a part of Nepal. And moreover, Darjeeling was a part of Nepal before.

The Sepoy, Prashant Tamang is the new singing sensation, he has been tagged as the 'Uncut Diamond' by Alisha Chinoi, the judge of Indian Idol. Though he has no formal training in music, he has always maintained that professional touch in his songs and is now into the Top 4 of Indian Idol. Being associated with Kolkata police since 2002, he sings in the police orchestra and has grooved many to perform to his tunes. He has a big fan base following and the girls love this Sepoy.



You have never been in bottom 3, so do you think you have the highest chances of winning this contest?

Prashant: No, it’s not that; we cannot say anything. All are good and the competition is tough now. Anyone can go out.

Do you want to go back and join the police profession or you want to stay back here and be a singer?

Prashant: As of now, I am focusing on my singing. I just hope that things fall in place; I am not thinking about future as of now.

Did you ever think you will come this far in Indian Idol?

Prashant: Of course not! I never thought I will get selected for the Galas, this is definitely a Dream come true.

Who has been your inspiration to pursue music and singing?

Prashant: Inspiration to do well in singing has come from friends, parents and my orchestra troupe..

Who is the best judge according to you?

Prashant: It definitely has to be Annuji. He is frank, man main jo hai woh bol dete hai.. Annnuji..

If you were to bring back one eliminated contestant, who would that be?

Prashant: Abhishek!

How was it to sing before Sonu Nigam?

Prashant: It was very nice, was a dream come true.. I was very excited to sing before him, but I felt sad that I could not impress him that much.

If you had to choose your Indian Idol today, who would it be?

Prashant: It has to be Amit!

After reading this blog, I kinda have some reservations on Prashant's innocence. Hope this is just a made up story but the entry belongs to an Indian Idol contestant. His voice cracks during normal conversation and his face somehow reflects a smoking personality. It seems he did lie about smoking.

rohitgrg don't concentrate to these posts they are doing this to cut Prashant's vote and to make Amit or Emon the winner. Even, he smoke, so what? As long as he sings good songs that is what matter the most. You know they will play anytrick to let Prashant down. We have to stick together and vote for him even more until he wins. It is hard for the smoker to quit all of a sudden, it takes time. Even, he smoked before, I'm sure he quit by now. You can tell how much he is serious about winning by watching him in practice session where he was trying to corrrect the pronucation something like jho, and all his friends are making fun of his pronucation. I wish I could vote for him but I'm in US where we are not able vote. All of his things are coming now to drag him down, pls don't concentrate on these things.

Roobaroo on Indian Idol is the day for just fun and masti. Here, the contestants get to show the viewers their hidden talents. The contestants have fun, while Mini Mathur makes sure to have fun at their expense. There have been guests who have taken utmost care to add to the fun quotient, like Riteish Deshmukh, Ganesh Hegde. And in this week’s Roobaroo, it is Leslie Lewis who is the guest and he too makes sure to keep the top four contestants' in good stead.





Viewers would get to see Prashant for the first time playing a guitar and singing a Nepali song. Amit sings “Chand Mera Dil”, while strumming the guitar as a pro and wooing the audience. Emon would be on the piano and with so much going on, can anyone stop Ankita from dancing? It would be really funny to watch her traipsing with Prashant, while singing the song “Pyaar Hua Ikraar hua”. What's more, after watching this diverse talent of these contestants,Leslie Lewis is really in awe with all the four. As a mark of advise, Lewis gave them tips for the future; this was followed by a round of musical session. With Mini too joining in, it turned into a rocking jam session. After watching all this, Leslie was now convinced that this Indian Idol Team, with some good singers, musicians and dancers, can actually form a band of their own, like Boney.M. Who knows they may really take up this idea and we may see such a band soon!



The entertainment and excitement does not end here. The most popular but eliminated contestant of Indian Idol, Meiyang Chang will make a come back as a guest, much to the delight of them all. In perfect shuddh Hindi, Chang speaks straight from his heart, just as we would expect him to say about his views on the next Indian Idol.

When and where is he singing a Nepali song? Do you guys think it is a wise idea to sing a Nepali song in Indian Idol? If he does so then the wide population will be reluctant to vote for the song they don't understand.

Amit, Emon and Ankita will be in Top 3 according to Udit.......seems he is feared to take Prashant name in front of Hindusthan Public or may be he is protecting Prashant for Indian Idol; as making Prashant weaker contestant, Prashant fans will take it serious and double their votes

I think they are letting him to sing a nepali song in roobaroo to cut his indian supporters' votes. I think they are letting the public know in the back of their head that he is a nepali.So, that he doesn't deserve to win. Hopefully, they are not pulling trick this time. Guys whoever can vote, please vote for him unconditionally. It is less than a month left for the show. So, please vote for him.

I don't think the Indians , specially the judges are being very racist. So far , i think they've been really open about Prashant's origin. Remember, India is a melting pot too and there are real indians from different origin, like punjabi, bengali , marathi etc... and prashant is from Nepali origin and not a Nepali... remember, prashant is not a Nepali... he just happen to be from a Nepali origin.. and it doesn't seem like judges are being baised with racism.. they are really open, including the guest actors about DArz and prashan't origin.. they rahter seem to be respectful.. i am amazed.. the bunch of Indians prashant is among are educated and real professional who dont give damn about racism or origin..
whatever happens will be the jantas decision.. i tink prashant is good but not so good.. i am not shocked or amazed.. he's alright in terms of singin.. i do feel close to him because we speak same language.. but he's an indian over all.. and he should be loyal to his country and no, he's not my fellow country man... although he speaks the same language...and thats the bottom line..
