Well Bathroom coffee there you go again. You know this is Sajha and its ok you are putting your opinion about the reason why taliban boomed the old Buddha statue. However I don't think there is any reason for those TRUE MUSLIM to boom that statue other that haterism from their part toward other religion. You said that they boomed that statue coz they don't believe on "Murti Puja" or statue. Well in that case why don't we nepali boomb those mosque in ktm coz we don't believe on islam and we are the only hindu country in the world. Now don't tell me that there are 5% muslim in nepal. My friend there were some hindus and buddists in Afgistan that time too for whom that statue meant a lot.
P.S.--My above statement about bombing the mosque in Kathmandu is just an argument to prove why Mr. Bathroom is wrong again to prove taliban are nice people. It is not an encouragement to have another riot in ktm....please don't take it that way.

Guys pay respect of Muhammed, he is a great man. Humiliation of such a great personality is the humiliation of good qualities and humiliation of sainthood.

Those, who drew such cartoons, are projecting the present status of Muhammed's teaching. His teaching lost its purity after few decades of his death, from where Islam got divided into Shia and Sunni. Those cartoons are satire to the polluted form of Isalm. If Muhammed were alive today, he would have laughed to those cartoonists instead of protesting against them. Those, who are protesting, are his believers not his followers. It is easy to be a believer and termendiously difficult to be a follower.

I have always been against the blind faith. We have brain, mind, to think, to analyze... we should utilize it. I believe most of the Muslim brothers should read Koran properly .... discuss about its meaning ...... analyze it. This is the need of the 21st century, a scientific era. I suggest same to Hindus, Christians and Buddhists as well.

If someone humiliate our revered father, of course we should oppose it. But oppose such a way that the opponent bow down out of shame. Don't protest such a way that the opponents laugh at you. You are the one who can give dignity to your elders. It's your act which will give honor to your ancesters. You should win your opponents by qualities not by abuses and anger. Don't try to pull your opponent from the height, rather climb higher and make him low. This is not only application to Muslims but everybody.

When Muhammed was born, people were so violent, unorganized and uncivilized. Muhammed was a great leader, he united them, organized them and civilized them. They were muslims who taught civilization to Europians. When Muslim invaded Spain, Europians first saw the gas lights. When spanish streets were shining with the gas lights, the rest of the Europe used to be in dark age. When Muslims were driven out of the Spain, Spain got technology and become most powerful Country of one time. Europians didn't know how to draw maps before they got the maps of defeated Muslims.

Al-gebra is an Arabic word; they developed Algebra. They were Muslims sailors who proved that the earth is round, not the flat. Chemistry used to have name Al-Chemistry. They had developed astrology, geography and many more things. Bagdad used to the capital of the most magnificient empire of the time, the Muslim empior, extended from Arab to Africa and Europe to Asia. They were the most civilized people of the time. This was all due to Muhammed's teaching.

Bygone the days; torch has already been extinguished and todays Muslims are holding the extinguished torch in the darkness. They have to re-light the torch; the darkness is a real threat to them.

Don't expect respect from people because of your mighty ancesters. Gain respect yourself by your own actions so that your ancesters will be respected. Don't try to correct others injustice by violence.

Vishontar you are doing great PR job for the Muslims. Your pro-Islamic rhetoric is nothing but a hideous relfection of the ISLAMIC/ARAB Propoganda. The claims you have made above are highly inaccurate. For example, your claim that Muslim sailors proved that earth if round in very intrue, if it were actually true, would discredit the "holy quran." See: http://humanists.net/avijit/article/flat_earth_kasem.htm

So much for a self-proclaimed last prophet of Moon God Allah.

Vishontar, Looks like you have already been halala and that you have circumcised your penis too other wise you should not have given such false statement about muhmmad and Koran. Since you know so much about Muhammad life how come you miss that he married a girl name Aisha when she was just 6 years old and deflowered her when she was 9 years old. Marrying a 6 years old girl by a 40 years old guy is called child molestation these days bro...

newguy, i asked a muslim guy about the 6 yr old girl. he said, back then marrying a girl meant doing a great favor. There were more girls than thenumber of guys and getting married was a big thing.also, he said that the girl had some trouble back then and he rescused her by giving his wife's title. So if it is true then he was actually doing a favor for the girl. but , to be honest with you, i don't know what is the fact.. i haven't read the whole kuran.. just some points from here and there...
Also who knows what deflowering meant according to the writing of hundreds of years.Maybe deflowering meant seeing her face when she was not wearing a burkha. who knows... it's not logical to judge hundreds of years ago by solely using 21st century values.. you have to consider the time differece and the differece in the value of society...
just my 2 cents.. please let me know what you think... that muslim guy might be wrong or right... .but time difference is something very thoughtful,no?

Well dyanm ask your muslim friend that is that why it is still alright for a muslim man to marry as many women as they can (which is legal in Islam law). Are there still that many women in this world that they have to marry more women to RESCUE them. Ask your friend and let me know. I'm not judging what happened hundreds of years ago, I'm judging on what is happening right now. Still in Saudi Arabia they have story on school book about going to heaven by killing a jew. Still in Palestine the suicide bomber who killed and are killing hundred of innocent civilians are called Allah's true son. Still in Pakistan the most common name for new born baby is Oshma (considering him as true muslim). You known what I can go all day long with this and the funny thing is that their holly book encourage this thing. I know a little about Koran and still the new version encourage killing and discriminating who ever pray for statue, i.e Murti Puja, including us Hindu and Buddhist. Ask your friend and let me know...

someone said he married a six year old to rescue her and there you are coming here and saying he did a great job. what kind of sick bastard that man was to do that in the first place and what kind of person you are to back that statement without any reasoning? [sic] common people use common sense.

before teaching muslims lesson, would you please look at yourself too? how many stones that you hurled or shops that you broke during hritik roshan kanda? or when 12 nepalis were killed at iraq? hey we all are same... भीड doesn't normally carry any agenda, all they can do is destruction without any justifiable reason. so a rational person would not incite a भीड, especially the middle eastern भीड. or a south asian भीड. though it started with a cartoon, it was never about the cartoon at all.

someone said somewhere 'rights comes with responsibility' which is so very true. publishing such cartoon was wrong perhaps. but backing off and giving concessions on freedom of speech with backfire. today its about muhamaad. tomorrow, it can be anything else. middle east need to learn a lesson. a lesson of peaceful negotiation, a lesson of freedom, a lesson of democracy, a lesson of womans rights. and the list goes on and on.

Vishontar has valid points here!I truly admire your knowledge and wisdom.

Often times freedom of expression when abused attracts eagerly waiting extremists to demonstrate their irrational behavior leading all of us into chaos. The offensive cartoons about the prophet of the faith that covers huge chunk of humanity is an example of utter irresponsibilty.

Bygone the days; torch has already been extinguished and todays Muslims are holding the extinguished torch in the darkness. They have to re-light the torch; the darkness is a real threat to them.

The statement above is more than enough for a civilized mind to understand where are the thoughts of the author originating from.It reflects pro- humanists views more than any other.
Unfortuantely biased views about someone else's faith that too due to lack of logic makes one no less fanatic than the brainwashed kids that pride themselves in killing themselves and others in the name of religion. The joy derived from poking fun at someone else's religion is no less evil than the joy derived from wearing a suicide-bomber suit killing innocent humans.

Islamic civilization too like our own civilization flourished centuries back in the absence of blindfaith and fanaticism.Like Vishontar mentioned, the darkness is a real threat to them and US.That same darkness has made all of US blind. How would you react if someone would make fun of hindu gods in the same manner?Sooner or later the newspapers that are fueling hatred amongst the world community by publishing cartoons about such a sensitive topic are going to apologise and they should.
Some of you have brought up the issues of unscientific views that are mentioned in the holy book of "Quran".No religion is an exception to irrational views details for that matter .How about holy book of bible that tells chritians that the world was created in seven days? Will that make Christ a man with the bomb on his crown of thrones?Remember it is rational views of Jesus that he spoke during "Sermon on the mount"that makes him respectful and worship-worthy.The words of Muhammad and Buddha fall in that same manner that preaches compassion and harmony. If in doubt,I would suggest you to read a filtered version of Bible expounded by Thomas Jefferson who claimed to be a humanist all his life.
The version of religion that came much later with extreme views killed the rational side of the prophet's teachings eventually leading the respective societies to the darkness.Narrowminded priests and fanatics later only to maintain their superior status in the social ladder gave birth to the darkness.Where science fails, blindfaith rules. So let us be tolerant towards other's views before we conclude our self-righteous views.

Thanks I-zen Ji, thanks for the compliment. I am glad that at least one person read what I wrote.

Major Ji, I don't think that I am wrong on what I said. When civilization starts it starts from a ground; that ground was Islam for Muslim civilization. I don't know how true Kooran is, however, Kooran provided discipline to Muslims and that discipline made them to progress in science, art and commerce.

Even though I have read long ago, I still remember the experiment that Muslim did to prove that the earth is round. They built a multistoried tall tower at the sea shore and sailed away from the tower. They found that as the distance increased they couldn't see the lower part of the tower. On going still further they could only see the top of the tower and finally tower went out of the vision. They repeated the experiment at night with lights at different heights of the tower and found the same effect. This was only possible if the earth is round, ie spherical.

Blind faith:
Blind faith is for dummies, I don't believe things blindly. I utilize my salt water computer (brain).....Analize things.......if find rational then I do accept otherwise not. Since Flat earth of Kooran doesn't make any sense to me so I don't accept it. However, there are many things, rational, pragmetic, scientific and result oriented in Kooran, I do accept them....................... I am not a blind believer.

I born as a Hindu, and I am a disciple of Buddha. I accept Yoga and meditation from Hindu Yogies because they are rational, scientific, pragmatic and result oriented. However, I don't accept so many things from Hindu culure, like secrificing animals, smoking marijuana, woshiping statues, gambling etc because I don't find them rational, pragmatic, result oriented and scientific. ............I am not a blind believer.

I have dedicated my life to Buddha and his teaching. However, I don't accept everything form his teaching. For example; according to Buddhism (as well as Hinduism) the structure of earth is like a plate with Sumeru Mountain at the centre of the ocean covered by land. The sun rotates round the Sumeru forming day and night. But I know it is untrue. It's perfectly worng but it doesn't mean that whole Hinduism and Buddhism is wrong.

I analize things, if I find them scientific, pragmetic, rational and result oriented, I accept them otherwise not. If I find small pebble in my food, I will just throw the pebble not the food.

Muhammed is not a personality to be judged by some cartoonists. He is one of the path finders and forerunners. There can be some impurities, but his teaching is so beautiful. However, it is disappointing that he doesn't have followers; he just have believers, blind believers who hardly know the outline of his teaching.

The problem is not only with these Muslims, this is the globel problem. As Felicity cited above, we Hindus are also suffering from the same disease.

Muhammed is a saint, he is not only of Muslims but mine too. I will certainly protect him. How will I protect him that I have already mentioned in my first posting.

The world is not divide into different religions. It is divided into two religions, one is followers, and another is believers. Almost all earth is covered with believers only handfuls are the followers.

Different people believe different things. For example, those who believe in Muhammed blast the statue of the Buddha and those who believe in Buddha consider Muslim as wrongly viewed, and so on so forth.

These believers are the real problem for the society.

However, those who are followers, they have only one thing to follow ...... The righteous path. No matter who they follow, Jisus, Muhammed, Buddha, Geeta, doen't matter. Righteous path is the only one path. No Hindu righteous, no Buddhist rightious, no Christian righteous, no Muslim rightious. It is just righteous.

If you follow it, you will find there is only one rightious path because you are experiencing it. But if you believe it you can define it differently because that is something imaginary for you.

गुरु बन्न सजिलो चेला बन्न गाह्रो छ!!! world as per geeta and GW is divided between good and evil. and that is the ground reality.

as i said earlier, the whole fuss is not about cartoon anymore. there are more elements on it than a mere cartoon. if it were about the cartoon, it should have been seen a long time ago. the cartoon was first published in september. its mid february now. see the big picture? and how come there is a huge protest in syria? they are baathist! "secular" country with no room whatsoever for religious freedom.

religious harmony, one world one god is all good, if other parties are equally honest as you. remember 12 dead bodies we brought home not long ago? and if someone comes to me and say how good prophet mohammad is, i would humbly say sir! i don't need no more preachers. if 33 million gods of my own didn't do any good, why would i think another one will make a difference?

also please bear in mind that no one died when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he will 'wipe israel off the map' and 'holocaust was not real'. those two statements are equally offensive as those cartoons aren't they?
