I have seen a lot of Nepalese go for English names. Don't do that for God's sake. Having an English name would not make a difference to the future of the child growing up in western world. I hate seeing siblings with older one named Parvati or Shiva Shankar for instance (born before Parent's migration to the western world) and the younger one (mostly likely born in a foreign country) called Roxanne or Max something stupid like that.

My personal favorite are Anjeer (fruit figs), Anaar(Pomegranite), and Angoor(Grapes). Love these three names for girls..easy to pronounce and are Nepalis :)!

and not starting with A-- another one is Megha-means cloud and easy to pronounce..kinda like Meghan or just meg..

Hope this helps..congratulations!!

You did not specify the types of names you were looking for. Some prefer  typical hindu names while some seek hybrid names such as Mona, Monica, Sheila etc. and others look for names that could be easy to pronounce or Western names. I am sticking with hindu names with profound meanings. Few suggestions:

1. मेधा - This has dual meaning, one is 'intelligence', the other signifies a 'hindu goddess'.
2. उभारी - This means 'mother earth', should not be mistaken with उभार.
3. उर्भी - This means 'mother earth' as well.
4. युवानी  - This means 'youthful'
5. अदिश्री - This means 'exalted'.
6. म्रिदु - This means 'gentle'.
7. स्निग्धा - This means 'soft'
8. तनु - This means 'physique'
