Reports of harassment including physical assault to locals of Mahottari
district by Indian border security forces are increasing of late.

Some
25 locals are reported to have undergone mistreatment at the hands of
Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) officials while crossing the border for
purchasing daily commodities in Indian markets.

Some locals
reported to the local administration that they were made to do sit-ups,
as a punishment, a number of times by the SSB men at the checkpoint.

Chief
district officer Ram Krishna Subedi informed that his Indian
counterpart showed unwillingness to listen to such complaints. "We
tried to negotiate with the Indian side, but they were not ready to
listen to our concerns," Nepal F.M quoted Subedi as saying.

According to Ram Ekbal Sah of Dhabauli, Nepalis have been more vigilantly watched for purchasing compost fertiliser.

I see those atrocities by SSB as our inability to defend our border. Instead of blaming them for what they did to us we need to first look at ourself. Hundreds of thousands of Nepal go to India to work exploiting the open border. Its all because of weakness of Nepal as a country. Our government is unstable, our army and police is not strong enough to resist them. Even if they can they have inferiority complex against Indian counterparts because they are supported by superior economy and superior government. Same thing is happening here in US also. Many Nepali students work in their gas stations and they IT consultancies. Students are getting jobs because of them. On the other hand I do not see many Nepali entrepreneurs who can employ Indians. 

Yeah they are annoying, stinky, mean but they are real survivors. They work hard, they are patriotic and look where there country is heading? The are seen as potential superpower. That means we are also great beneficiaries of their growth.

Even though I personally dislike deshis I think there are so many things that we can emulate form them and rather than complain they did this and that we need to strengthen ourselves.

and worse for us Nepali, Mexico can survive if US closes all its border. Where as Nepali will go-on HUNGER if India closes its border, unless you decide to eat tainted Chinese supplied milk powder - history is the fact.
